doug_oak
Any idea where these are? Or if they're even still in service? They're out every weekday, at least. These are interesting - renumbered from 401 to 403 to make room for the 103 D40LF bus order in 1998-99, 401-499 and 501-504, that arrived in advance of the 1999 PanAm Games in Winnipeg. Also, IIRC they are the only D40LF/D40LFR in Winnipeg ordered with double stream exit doors, and they are from 1994.

First one I ever saw with the single width rear door was a demo that showed up in Calgary in February 1995. It had the early style front end but with the newer more sloped style back end as seen in these photos. It was also the first time I had seen a NFI LF with the sliding sash style windows. BCT-3122-D800-10240
They are? I've only seen them once in the past year! Interesting. During my 4 days in Winnipeg, I spotted 992 out 3 out of those 4 days. And a friend saw all three out on Thursday June 16th of this year. I left Winnipeg that morning so I did not see them. DE40LFR
They're very much alive and active. It's just hard to see them around because there's only three of them
armorand
Those three should be on the 24 or 21 during the weekdays next week. I rarely get to ride them, and the last time I did was either Calgary or Edmonton since they ordered 100ish

This might be an odd question, but do you have any pics of 991-993 in orange and cream livery from pre-2000?

I don't unfortunately. Oh, and that is not an odd question. I have seen images of them in their original livery, but I do not have any in my own collection however... We used to get anniversary cards in the mail and I had one with exactly what you're looking for, but I'm pretty sure it hit the scrap heap when my ex-wife was "decluttering" before she left me. armorand
Surprisingly caught 991 on the last 26 run of the night. Testing out Canon Rebel on the doors: and then the bus... Unlike the Orion (SUV), I couldn't get a side view this time cause people were in the way...

These were taken in September 1999 on Kennedy south of Portage. 991 was on route 44 London.
