Was at the yard a few days ago and seen a lot of retired 85 series J4500's and some 86 series as well There was also a damaged Van Hool. There was also an 83 on property with no plates. Did they order any new buses to replace what has been retired?

somebody mentioned the engine parts for 85 series are hard to get nowadays.  maybe it is the reason why coach canada retired them.  I know MaClaren? got like several of them.

Not fully true any longer - they directly own Greyhound, which owns its own equipment, but that's more of a technicality at this point. Some areas of the former Greyhound network have been (or are in the process of being) fully contracted out, and it's tilting in the direction where Greyhound will become something of an "in-house contractor" for Flixbus routes soon.

The Greyhound terms and conditions you have to agree to when you buy a ticket already spell out that they are a contractor and FLIX is not to be held responsible for their actions. It’s a nice arrangement until somebody dies and sues both entities and it becomes a legal dispute.
