stm_5307N
Looks like Montreal's last 1990 Mack MR pumper #231 is about to join the rest of the Mack MR fleet as a spare unit. The first brand new 2012 Spartan Metrostar / Maxi-Metal has been numbered the new #231 Also, the SIM's new 2012 Bronto Spartan / Rosenbauer's are about to enter service. They replace all the 700 series Freightliner / Anderson Bronto's that were removed from service a few months ago.

Also there are 4 Spartan Gladiator Classic / T-Rex towers (-/-/115') from Rosenbauer from that order. Also I see on order are Three Spartan Metrostar/Maxi-Métal Heavy Rescues with 20' box to remplace units 513-527 & 1147 (which will become 547). A fourth replacement unit is to be delivered in 2015. One Mobile command post which will become unit 1005 and last One Freightliner/??? air light unit which will become unit 1617.
stm_5307N
http://fire.wikia.co...e_Montr%C3%A9al looks like the wikia could be updated Someone is updating that roster as the units come into service. The new 231 is not yet in service, neither are the new Bronto's. The old Freightliner 700 series Bronto's are not active though as the list would suggest they are still at their repective stations. Could be a transfer of an older truck to be renumbered 1617 for new duties or someone just got the name of the company wrong.

stm_5307N
The SIM has now retired all but 2 1990 built Mack MR / Thibault former 600 series pumpers. Spares #283 and #2080 are the final two. I caught #2080 replacing at stn 78 a few months ago.
stm_5307N
The new Spartan / Rosenbauer ladders are starting to enter service now with the first one assigned to station 34, thus retiring the older Freightliner / Anderson Bronto's 734 and both spares 780 and 781. For some strange reason one has escaped retirement for now which is 743. Here's now retired spare 780 seen last winter.

TheAverageJoe
The new command unit due in the spring is a Pierce Velocity unit. The on-duty command officers are getting new Ford Explorers and Dodge Journeys for staff chiefs all due in the coming months. Future replacement plans are another 5 year aerial replacement program and to replace the 1991 Freightliner/Tibotrac haz-mat.

DanT
I've heard the Duplex Bronto is back at 71; their Rosenbauer had constant problems and wasn't feasible for the airport area.
