TransitIsMyThing Posted May 5, 2024 Report Posted May 5, 2024 I feel like eventually the 201 might benefit from a different type of bus, whether that be artics or the ION buses.

It is unknown what the articulated will be used for. They're always seems to be some sort of delay with them.
TransitIsMyThing Posted May 9, 2024 Report Posted May 9, 2024 Does anyone know what the 204 short turns to Central are used for? Are they interlined with the GO train or is it just because the bus is leaving service?

TransitIsMyThing Posted May 16, 2024 Report Posted May 16, 2024 Thought it might be nice to post these, just for fun. This is my Sorry, Bus Full picture collection. There are only 6 but I am hoping to add more soon Here they are! On Route 1 On Route 204 On Route 204 On Route 202 On Route 16 (on detour) On Route 1 Welp, that's all of them
TransitIsMyThing Posted May 17, 2024 Report Posted May 17, 2024 Forgot to add, if you have any pictures of Sorry, Bus Full I would love to see them

Transit 20 Posted June 16, 2024 Author Report Posted June 16, 2024 ion turns 5 this weekend coming June 22-23 and GRT will be free that weekend. https://www.grt.ca/en/about-grt/ion-5th-birthday.aspx 1
Stops At Posted June 20, 2024 Report Posted June 20, 2024 Looks like the new MobilityPlus Arboc order is currently being delivered. Spotted 12402 yesterday. 1
GMoldlook Posted June 20, 2024 Report Posted June 20, 2024 So...anyone know why the ION is still as slow as a snail on the Courtland/Heyward section of the track?
Transit 20 Posted June 20, 2024 Author Report Posted June 20, 2024 its because they have a speed restrictions been like this since start and will not be lifted don't want anyone derailing
GMoldlook Posted June 26, 2024 Report Posted June 26, 2024 Well, I'm not the only one complaining about the slow speed...what's so special about that section of track? There are a number of complaints about it last time I looked on the map where people are making suggestions for future improvements. Certainly it's defeating the purpose of being "rapid" transit. Anyone have a more detailed explanation?
AnthonyTheBusFan2006 Posted June 27, 2024 Report Posted June 27, 2024 I have a feeling that Grand River Transit unit 8016 might be retired. According to Transsee, it was last seen on May 31st, 2024
Transit 20 Posted June 27, 2024 Author Report Posted June 27, 2024 I will ask my contacts at fleet they were post to be doing engine rebuilds on the 2008
Transit 20 Posted July 4, 2024 Author Report Posted July 4, 2024 8016 is back in service currently on the 33.
3302 Posted July 9, 2024 Report Posted July 9, 2024 Anyone have the "new" 91 routing? I can't find it anywhere

Tilted_windows Posted July 17, 2024 Report Posted July 17, 2024 I noticed recently that the 302 has a green circle on the new map... is the same thing going to happen where we're going to have a "blue ION" (like the Blue iXpress) and then "Green ION" (the old iXpress routes & 302, given the same nomenclature but not much more).... I also had a question... Why doesn't the GRT run express versions of routes rather than an iXpress route that serves as both a local and an express... i.e. a route 15 that serves all former stops along fischer-hallman and a 115 that serves every four or so? That way those who don't want to walk can take the lower frequency (but closer local route), while those who prefer not to wait can take the higher frequency (but less stops) express or iXpress route? Something reminiscent of the old 16/116 and current 10/110 combinations. Last thing is that did anybody else notice that the new 35 "Greenbrook" is essentially the old 2 "Forest Hill" (c. 2005-2015) minus service on Stonybrook, Westmount, Avalon and Southmoor.
BoredCapturer Posted July 23, 2024 Report Posted July 23, 2024 Since GRT has decided to remove some stops to speed up service, wouldn't it be a good idea to also remove the stops on Weber/Noecker? Everyone in the area would still be within a 7-8 minute walk of a bus stop, so I feel like this could be added to the plan. https://www.grt.ca/en/rider-information/stop-and-shelter-changes.aspx#Stop-changes-on-Sept-2-2024

(For buses bound towards fairway) On 7/17/2024 at 11:21 AM, Russell Forbes said: I noticed recently that the 302 has a green circle on the new map... I noticed that as well, I feel like it looks kind of out of place especially since the ION route on the map isn't numbered. I can see that, there was also service on Spadina though.
GMoldlook Posted July 25, 2024 Report Posted July 25, 2024 Before the fall schedules go up, anyone have any intel on any extra/addition/surprise changes to routes coming this fall?
Transit 20 Posted July 25, 2024 Author Report Posted July 25, 2024 I do I know lots but I'm not telling lol 4
