A tentative agreement has been reached with the Region of Waterloo and GRT. But however the union might strike on Monday according to this CTV News Kitchener story.

UPDATE: GRT employees will  be on strike as of May 1st because GRT employees rejected the offer from the region. this means conventional bus service, busPLUS or MobilityPLUS will not operate during the strike.

After reading that drivers did not even get paid until they reached their first stop. I wonder how fast the Labour board would get involved with that and how much legal trouble the region would be in for not paying employees properly.

This information is not true. The Operators are paid a 15 minute pre-trip inspection and to dead head to the first stop.

Would someone be willing to share what the current top rate is for drivers with the latest agreed to contract and what the top rate will be at the end of the contract?  Ours in London is up and would like to have an idea of what GRT wages are.  Thanks.
