Maybe it's only been on some buses? 6 minutes ago, Jason L said: Are they changing around the INIT voice? on the 6 this morning and there seems to be a slight difference in the announcement... the voice that says "Next stop" is still the same but the voice that says the actual stop names was different... a bit deeper and faster but also seems to blend in more with the bus sounds so a bit harder to hear... I noticed that on a 21521 New Flyer bus that was on the 31 today, the voice sounded like she had a cold or something.

D4500
On 12/8/2016 at 0:28 AM, TRENT_TRANSIT_SYSTEM said: Noooooooo! I thought it would be similar to the Presto system. THIS is just going to go SO WRONG in SO MANY ways Im calling it now. That way I can say "told ya so" in the near future. 1. Proper coin is gonna be an issue and many customers will over pay, dispute fare, and try and pay in bills leading to delays and complaints. 2. Customers (most being pree dumb up in Waterloo *students*), are never going to remember how to use the machine, or how to get a transfer and will pay fare and forget, or look to the driver aimlessly, or dispute the amount of time provided for transfer. Customers cant be expected to run a device which used to be run by drivers. 3. The bar-code will infrequently work and cause delays and disputes as tickets get damaged, lost, or misused. 4. Taking away driver discretion on fare and transfer will sour relations with many riders who might experience delay, or require only 10 extra minutes transfer on a daily commute. 5. The fare card reader will be a pain in the ass as it will take multiple attempts to tap at the right angle. 6. The system is overtly complex and will fail numerous times, its unreliability will lead to many lost fares and complications. 7. The fact that tickets arent accepted in this machine shows its incapability and inadequacies versus other systems with more functional Presto systems. 8. Transfers administered by drivers for tickets may lead to revenue accounting issues, and many people will put coins or other inappropriate media in the ticket-tin leading to issues of counting fare and tickets, thus wasting time and staff wages. 9. ALL the operability issues noted above will lead to frequent delays leading to a higher number of late buses and disappointed customers. Conclusion: GRT should have just gone with Presto, and continued using WatCard and OneCard as the U-Pass system. Please, don't hold back. Tell us how you really feel. Does anyone from Cambridge have anything to comment? 51 minutes ago, Josh said: Why can't they just pay someone minimum wage to record some real voices for the system, like TTC... Streety McCarface
Nova 2715 has been affected as well. However, the "next stop" is now in a deeper voice as well.

Lets see how they all work out :^ As for the new voice....idk why they changed it, but okay. Just turn it up. Cause yeah, everyone sitting around me on that 9 was asking each other if it changed or what it said (packed bus, so people cant see out the window). But WHY is ridership SO LOW in St.Jacobs and Elmira? I think it might say something about "tourism" and the lack of attractions that might require looking into. If ridership is low, it means people are going anywhere, in or out....and I know not EVERYONE there can drive. One should look at the rush-hour numbers versus off-peak hours. I get the idea that a 21 commuter bus makes sense, but I can attest to mid-day buses being empty...they always were when I was on em.
Transit 20
well they just messed that up the only way to get the 21 busy is to add more runs they should went with the 2nd option in the first place i am glad i dont live in Elmira.
