Damaged or dead vehicles

517 posts in this topic

Firstly I recieved a messege from a fried today saying that 7757 will be out of seervice for a while as at around 5pm tonight the bus slammed into the low bridge by vp where 7954 and 7617 met a similar fate. Seconndly i thought it would be a good idea to start a thread about bus maintenance( how long vehicals are out for how they got damageed, break downs etc) seeming as the Edmonton thread has the crispy critters (horribly miss quoted)

Any feed back would be appreciated

Heard about that, no other reason for the bus to be there except being out of service as it is a VP bus.

It was in the VP shops last night when I finished work and they were working on it.

7581 was involved in a collision early this morning in Woodbine, on 56 Key 101. Couldn't see if there was any damage to the bus, it sure made me late though!

Rather ironic, 7781 was the fill bus for that trip if I recall.

Anyone know what bus this one is, assuming this is a VP unit deadheading into the South for the morning on a Saturday.

A large Calgary Transit bus was severely damaged when it caught fire early Saturday morning.

The Calgary Fire Department attended the scene at MacLeod Trail just south of Southland Drive S.E. for reports of a bus fire.

When they arrived, they found the bus fully engulfed in flame.

The fire was quickly extinguished by the crew, but the bus had already suffered extensive damage.

The driver was the only one on the bus at the time and no one was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
