2007-10-07: Major Update

I have redone HTML pages for my site.

Most of it still needs to be designed, but I will give you the link so you can have a look-see at the site layout.

Questions? Comments?

Yes, does look very nice!

I wouldn't mind to spruce up Barp one day... but it would take so long and I'm not creative at all with web design.

2007-12-19, man, I've been really lazy :P

Added a transit graphics section. More to come!

:), I like the description you gave for the VI and VII, "Drawing of a great bus." Nice drawings.

I wanted to integrate Google Maps into my brother's website, and so far, it's like this: http://maps.google.ca/maps/ms?hl=en&gl...b13de4910891951

What are your thoughts on it? Any improvements, suggestions?

Some things I was thinking of:

  • Some locations are too dense - e.g. terminals, stations
  • Is it better to have the same bus model for each map, or different bus models, but on the same map?
This way, it can be seen where the various types of buses run. Custom markers can also be used to indicate the type of bus, so that a general overview of the entire Toronto can be seen. At the same time, there would only be a limited number of buses for a given model so that the map is not convoluted.
  • I'll take pictures of the stations so that the area markers aren't blank. Donations welcome? :o

Here's the YouTube version, using the GM New Look playlist as a sample: http://maps.google.ca/maps/ms?hl=en&gl...4e7091&z=11

Any comments here?

Personally, I'm thinking of decreasing the size of the New Look marker as it looks too big. I like the use of the polyline as it's able to show the routing of the particular route.

Another question about YouTube videos: when you upload a video, it gives you an option of setting the location. Is there any way to directly show this on a map for a given playlist? I haven't found any way to exploit such attributes.

Anyways, thanks :P
