I'll start this with some images of one of Vancouver's 1991 D40's when it was brand new. #3303 which was soon to be assigned to the Oakridge Transit Centre was on display during a bus rodeo at Burnaby Transit Center in the spring of 1991.

That destination sign is so clear!
Yep they normally are when they are brand new and freshly delivered.

And on that note, here are a couple images of #3351 freshly delivered and parked outside at BTC back in August of 1992.

Since this post is dedicated to *Random* photos, then please do not mind me for being completely random into something that may or may not be related to transit! :)

The term "fare evasion" has just been brought to a whole new level! Are animals learning from human beings, or perhaps the other way around? :P

Enjoy!

I don't care if people think that's off topic. I think it's hilarious.

I'm not sure what you guys do on this forum, since I'm relatively new, but an informal rule we have on a railway forum that I frequent is that we don't show operator's faces in photos we post.

I started this thread and that doesn't bother me at all either! :)

That's often what some of us do as well. But in this case I am pretty sure the photographer knew the bus operator that is in the image and that operator did not have a problem with being in the image.

NVTC 1991 D40 #4314. Photo captured in 1992. Where is this picture taken? Let's see who knows. Those that already know because I showed them the image and told them where it was taken need not to reply.

Hmm, looks like a shopping centre... could be Hillside?

You`re the closest one to nailing the location so far. You are on the right track, but the wrong shopping centre.

Building looks like it could be a pool, school, or library.

None of those 3 are correct. Sorry Captain.

Hmm... What makes you think that ? Was that a guess? Kinda looks like it with your question mark. :) You got it!

I knew it wasn't Canwest (Westshore Town Centre), and then I remembered that Tilicum also has bus service, and is made of brick. The brick is what made me guess the old UVic bus loop, because that portion of the student union building (Cinecenta, specifically), is brick.
