septa105R5/seClip9
Yesterday I made a visit to DC, as well part of northern Virginia during my day trip. Of course, I got some interesting pics on transitfanning side featuring WMATA Metro Bus, DC Circulator and Arlington Transit ART bus with Orion, New Flyer and NABI. DC Circulator 2003 Van Hool A330 at Union Station , Washington DC 3/21/2015 WMATA Metrobus 2001 New Flyer C40LF #2353 at H and 7th Street in Chinatown, Washington DC WMATA Metro 2002 Neoplan AN460 #5315 at H and 7th Street in Chinatown, Washington DC WMATA Metroextra 2006 Orion VII CNG #2670 at Ballston MU Station in Ballston, Virginia WMATA Metrobus 2005 Orion VII CNG #2543 at Ballston MU Station in Ballston, Virginia WMATA Metrobus Orion VII at Ballston MU Station in Ballston, Virginia New WMATA Metrbus 2014 NABI 42-BRT Hybrid #8053 at 7th and H Street in Chinatown, Washington DC From my last visit in DC mainly in downtown area at the National Mall and historic landmark area, I don't see any Orion V buses down there anymore either due to weekend service or most of the New Flyer XDE40 and the current new NABI 42-BRT Hybrid buses replaced most of them. Things has changed a lot since my last visit to DC 5 years ago.

Those Orions are pretty common in major areas and major cities, like New York, DC ,etc The whole video compilation from Washington DC Trip 3-21-2015: Featuring Metrobus, Metrorail, and DC Circulator. Here's the video compilation for WMATA Metrobus and Metrorail as well as DC Circulator from my visit at my DC Trip 3-21-2015 Those NABI 42-BRT Hybrids are becoming more and more common, and they're even can be seen at downtown DC area, like on Route P6 when I seen several of them at Chinatown. septa105R5/seClip9
So do I, but at the time I was there, it was on the weekend. So I didn't expect it would be easy to find them.
TheAverageJoe
So do I, but at the time I was there, it was on the weekend. So I didn't expect it would be easy to find them. The only buses that tend to not come out during the weekend on WMATA seems to be the DE37LFA's and the Neoplan artics.

Scrabbleship
That LFS looks snazzy in the Circulator scheme and it would've been nice had DDOT bought them instead of Xcelsiors.

Blue Bus Fan
Safe truck has began which effect everything for MetroRail which means all lines will shut down at 12 am on all days: https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/trafficandcommuting/2016/05/19/562b19c0-1dc2-11e6-9c81-4be1c14fb8c8_story.html?tid=a_inl Hopefully this shows all transit authority that don't maintenance should not come from the expensive of extension. SounderBruce
*SafeTrack Surge 2 I rode the Silver Line during the tail-end of Surge 1 and it was absolutely horrible. 18 minute headways, stuffed trains, multiple mid-station stops. Really shows how little WMATA cared about their system. It's great that maintenance is no longer ignored, since it's been dragged into the spotlight for the moment. We'll see if it holds post-SafeTrack.
Blue Bus Fan
Most likely maintenance will not be deferred because WMATA has public would put pressure on keep the system will maintained.
septa105R5/seClip9
On PMATS from Facebook, one of WMATA's 2016 New Flyer Xcelsior XDE40 made a stop in Philadelphia at SEPTA's Headquarters for display.
