All C40LFRs they won't go anywhere for another year or two. 2801-2821 are at Blade and 2822-2825 are at FMR. Idk about 2626-2628 as I haven' t seen those on the tracker in a while.

#2628 is back at Four Mlie Run. Saw it parked there. Also at FMR is 2015 NABI BRT 42 hybrid #8094 for some reason and 3 WMATA Museum buses. Meanwhile, ART has about a dozen brand new New Flyer XN35s in the #5300 series, awaiting to enter service. Guess those 2007 Nabi 35 LFWs 1Gs are going bye-bye...

Also, spotted an ex- PRTC Omni (now DASH bus) 2005 Gillig phantom #102 (702) on the AT6 yesterday evening for some odd reason. Guess they were short on buses. Still strange how they renumbered these in the same series as the former 2007 units.

Haven’t seen 2628 on the tracker but will correct that. Still unsure about some of the other buses. Also guessing ART will replace older buses with those XN35s

It looks like 2626 is back at FMR as it’s currently running on the 16Y. Also 6114 and 6123 are at Bladensburg and 6187 is at Montgomery as its running on their employee shuttle. Also 2907-2909 from FMR are back at Bladensburg.

WMATA just accepted an option order of 100 XD40s and 32 XD60s for 2020 I believe. Guess those 2006 D40LFRs are not long for this world ( as well as the NABI BRT 60s and possibly DE62LFAs)

Well, basically anything built before 2009.

Are there any replacement buses in line to knock off the remaining little hools at dc circulator?

To my knowledge, no. They just got a bunch of new buses back in 2017, killing all of the 2003- 2004 Van hools. Since WMATA is no longer operating the Circulator, I have no clue what they have coming down the pipe, though I suspect more electric buses..

BTW, happy new years everyone!

BTW, The 7000 series car order from Kawasaki is now complete. The 7700s are in service.

Looks like only a handful of 2700 Orion VII CNGs remain in service only seeing 2724, 2727 and 2730 on the trackers as of right now. Also 8003 was on the D12 and 2823 and 2824 were on the K12 earlier this morning. Currently 5450 is on the L8.

Also 5466-5467 were moved to Montgomery, 5483-5484 were moved to Bladensburg, and 6578-6579 were moved to West Ox.

Your welcome.  It’s not showing up on the bus tracker for some reason.  Also 601, 602, 603, 612, and 613 have been showing up on the DASH tracker lately.   Seen them on the AT8 route during rush hour.   Started seeing them on December 30th.  All showing tonight.

Hello, does anyone know why WMATA decided to go with sealed windows for it's order of XD40's, and I've noticed the older XDE40's are bring rehabbed and they have sealed windows as well. Are sealed windows going to be standard on all new bus orders ?

I'm not sure why WMATA is converting existing buses to sealed windows, but I can hazard a good guess as to why they're doing it with their newest buses: it's cheaper. They've been looking for ways to cut bus procurement costs for some time now. Sealed windows are less expensive to spec, and some transit agencies are apparently confident enough with the capabilities of the modern HVAC systems that they feel as though they can do without opening windows.

Well, if Metrobus ever starts suffering from deferred maintenance due to budget cuts, they are going to be in for a rude awakening!

Anyway, this is out of left field, but apparently, there's a 2006 D40LFR on the 25B right now (#6181)! When did FMR depot get D40LFRs? I saw one parked at the depot a couple of weeks ago (#6159, along with a 2014-2015 NABI BRT 42 hybrid), but I figured it was there to get work done...

Also, 2007 C40LFRs #2824 and #2825 are both working the 7A and 7Y respectively!  2006 Orion VII OG CNG #2658 doing a 7C run as well, while 2007 Orion VII OG CNG #3030 is on the 7M! Some cool metrobus action in Northern VA today.

Lastly #2724 is on layover at Pentagon city on the 16G behind 2016 XN40 #2925.

I think Four Mike Run got some D40LFRs now (unconfirmed) since 6181 was running on the 25B today and Yesterday, 6103 was on the 23T, 6170 on the 25B, 6181 on the 7Y, and 6186 on the 28G.

I wonder why Four Mile is getting these? I mean it is cool that they are here for variety sake, but I think that West Ox or even Cinder Bed would have been better depots for these to go to. Any Orion 5 sightings as of late? Are they are CET storage now? What about the NABI BRT 60 CNGs?

NABI 60s CNGs still running fine. Orion Vs 2149 and 2164 only show up for the Montgomery Division Shuttle although there might be Orion Vs running for Shepherd Parkway and Andrews division shuttles. Also I have a feeling since FMR is running low on buses with the Orion VII CNGs retiring, they borrowed some D40LFRs from divisions to fill the gap.

My parents grew up in the Baltimore/Silver Spring area and found this pamphlet in some old files recently.  It was a supplement to the March 21, 1976 issue of the Washington Star and describes the very minimal service provided in Phase 1 of the subway's operation.  There are several station naming and alignment changes, along with a couple of stations being swapped between the Yellow and Blue Lines.  Hope these scans are useful...
