Usually the bolts are siezed in and the nuts come off pretty easy with a 1/2" impact. It's when the bolts spin that it can be time consuming as we'd have to drop the bumper and such. All three had trailer hitches and plumbing when I first saw them. However 1122 has since had her hitch removed. That was the one of the three I got to drive on Sunday. What a B-E-A-UTIFUL ride. You can't put a trailer on a coach without a hitch, no matter what a dispatcher or yard hostler wants to try to do! If the refurbished are for a "First Class" Service (WiFi, Express speed etc), then why would it pull "Second Class" freight? Cleaning staff made the grisly discovery around 4:30 p.m. PT, said Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Bob Jones. "The bus company cleaning personnel arrived and they noticed that the male passenger sitting in the back of the bus hadn't disembarked, " said Jones. "When they tried to arouse him, they found that he wasn't conscious and called police as well as [emergency health services]." Police say the man, who was in his early 30s, was carrying a variety of prescription medicines and had told some of the other 25 travellers that he was not feeling well when the bus left Calgary. Police are treating the case as a suspicious death, until autopsy results are received, but say there weren't any obvious signs of foul play. On the other hand, competition on a route where one carrier has a large monopoly and the resources to do not so good things by really low balling on a large basis can put other carriers out of the market or even out of business if the dominant carrier can keep it up steadily enough for a long enough period of time. The the discounts disappear and the prices go right back to where they were or higher. This has proven to be the case in the airline business far too many times. Max Ward ran a great airline but was not given the rights he needed to have a competitive airline. Sometimes regulation is good. Sometimes it is not. I know a bus company whose owner says their fares will always be a bit cheaper just to keep the competition honest, but the larger, longer serving carrier has more passengers likely just because those in the area think of the larger, longer serving carrier first when they go to book their trips.Regardless, regulation or not, a carrier must be profitable; hence why many routes are or have been let go recently. I'm sure they will when Greyhound's Blue buses show up at the same time to compete against PCL. However Pacific Coach has a very strong advantage over Greyhound!! Their schedules are way more convenient...and they are a Local company that thinks outside the box..They have alot of loyal customers who have been with them since their inception, and plus PCL also does pickups at downtown Hotels and the Airport...Convenience alot of people love. And they have offered way better buses than Greyhound could ever offer for years. As of Oct. 1, the foreign-owned bus line will cut service along the Crowsnest Highway as well as Highway 2 north to Calgary. That will leave residents of Coaldale, Taber and points east with no passenger service. People in Granum, Claresholm, Nanton and High River will also be abandoned, according to a release from Greyhound Canada's operations centre in Calgary. Daytime services northbound from Lethbridge will also be reduced, with daily departures set for 8:30 a.m. (stopping in Vulcan) and 5 p.m. (non-stop.) A 3:15 p.m. trip will also run Thursday to Saturday. An overnight bus from Vancouver, meanwhile, will arrive here at 4:15 a.m. and leave for Calgary 15 minutes later. Return trips from Calgary will leave at 1, 8 and 10:15 p.m. Morning service, leaving there at 8 a.m., will be restricted to Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The only scheduled service to Fort Macleod and points west, meanwhile, will leave Lethbridge at 1 a.m. daily and 10:45 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. The service reductions are the latest in a series of cuts announced by Greyhound since the provincial government deregulated the highway passenger industry last year. No public hearings are provided. This is the Schedule that runs Calgary-Lethbridge-Medicine Hat that they are elimintating. I'm not sure why they had the schedule doing that route anyways...It would have made more sense to have one of the East buses from Regina route via Medicine Hat-Lethbridge-Okotoks-Calgary. And why run into Vulcan and eliminate High River,Nanton,Claresholm?? Very weird. If they would have done that, keeping that Medicine Hat local would have made sense, just with different timing. But Yes guaranteed Red Arrow is bound to get more business because of these reductions, as they already stop and pick up in all these places Greyhound is cutting service to north of Lethrbidge. It appears that the Prevost X3-45 held up quite well considering the impact it endured... But yes, I do agree that it will be quite some time before this coach will return to the highways. Insurance does take quite a while after an incident like this. But it does seem like the Greyhound operator did an excellent job of keeping that bus in control after the impact... It also depends on Autobody shop's schedule such other vehicles needing repair and etc. AZ Bus would have an accident vehicle repaired within a week but two the most because of it being done in-house. The multi-rides include travel involving monthly passes, 10-rides and 20-rides. Customers may still purchase multi-rides during this period, but will not be allowed to use the multi-rides until January 9, 2013. Anyone know the reasoning behind this ? These muti ride passes don't show up in the computer system when trying to get an idea of how many will be riding that trip. It's very common in travel and transportation field to have fare black outs during peak travel periods.
