OC Transpo 8238
In reading the GM Maintenance Manual (X-6015) for TDH-4517/5301 and TDM-4517-5301, there is a image of a plate, located "On trim panel below drivers window" Which inscribes on the image "TDH5301-043" Was this only for the 4517/5301's? And have any been saved that we know of?

And have any been saved that we know of? As far as I know the secondary VIN plate was indeed only on first gen 'bowls. My manual X6215 dated 6-62 shows the plate as well. I assume yours is an earlier manual? The plate likely did make it to the end of 4517/ 5301 production. I know one board member had one or two, but, I believe he might have gotten rid of them since. OC Transpo 8238
My '68 Parts Manuals (both Canada & USA) don't show the second plate, must be a 1st & 2nd gen. thing.
andrethebusman
My '68 Parts Manuals (both Canada & USA) don't show the second plate, must be a 1st & 2nd gen. thing. CTA 9600-9799 (last 5307's built) had a small plastic sticker under the dashboard on the plastic sheild behind the steering column with the serial and exact build date for that bus. However since the plastic shield was prone to breakage and replacement whenever dash was disassembled for any kind of work, most lost them fairly soon. Depends if that '68 parts manual is for model TDH-5304 or T6H-5306. Both were built in 1968 with T6H-5306 being built obviously after the TDH-5304 model.
