Buses for sale

Recommended Posts

Translink S089 for sale with surprisingly low mileage:

https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rds/cto/d/ford-econo-bus/6274488215.html

Destination signs appear to be gone, wheelchair lift lights have been removed along with the lift, but it still has the stop request pull cords (I guess they must've been left behind for bathroom stop requests?)

Can't believe people are still bothering to keep CMBC's framecracker shuttles on the road... especially ones with the 6.0L engine

OK, maybe some owners are smart enough to remove the retarders, but the frames will never be as strong as they once were...

To be fair, the 6.0 engine isn’t that terrible, once it’s been gone over and bulletproofed with some aftermarket parts. Not worth the labour of doing so to a clapped out bus though.

The 6.4 that came after, on the other hand is the one to be avoided at all costs.

The 6.4 was what CMBC's International buses had. Luckily those things had so many issues they've all been pulled out of service not long after they enterrd it.

2001 CBB Polar that appears to have been some sort of transit bus (has an ad on the interior and a destination sign looking thing). Unsure of operator as I've never seen this red and black stripe livery. Don't think it was BC Transit.

What appears to be a rare, privately-owned-since-new CBB Polar bus. I've never seen a transit one with these headlights and the chrome grill/bumper. Edit: noticed it had double marker lights as well - none of the transit ones have that.

Technically a van, but here's ex-TransLink C271

What I assume is ex-RCAF suburban fishbowl

These are no longer legally considered buses, but what I find interesting is that they still have BC Transit decals on the side and sign rolls in place

Ex-Clovis Transit 5014

One of these CMBC S3xx series van-based shuttles was already sold to a hotel, but this is the first one for sale to the general public. Notice the horrible photoshop job they did to show how the bus would look with the decals removed
