Oh interesting! Did I miss a post earlier in this thread about these buses being for sale from Penske by chance?

No , not on here, I just seen them my self on ebay a few months ago

Theres 7 or 8 in the picture. I wonder why they were retired so soon. of course at 20k ea i doubt they'll sell very fast.

My guess is they lost a contract?

Hah! I wondered when she would show up for sale somewhere in Ontario! That is Ex-Calgary Transit 1973 GM T6H-5307N #709. I knew she had been driven out there by the owners back in around 2008 or thereabouts. I got a call from the owner not long after they got her out there asking me how to get her running again after she broke down. I told them that I don't know enough about them to just tell them how to fix it over the phone like that. Told them to call the local Detroit Diesel shop.

Here's a couple of pics of 709 shortly before they purchased her from the previous owner who had converted the bus to be used as a welding shop:

That was the one a few people spotted at the Ottawa Trainyards in the summer. Iirc, Calgary Transit 403, 407 or 409.
Yep, former Calgary 1973 GM #709.

if it was anywhere south of the mason-dixon (snow) line these buses would stand a ghost of a chance.

Maybe there's a southern theme park interested in these for shuttling customers from their parking lots.

Edit: $15 000 looks very reasonable for one of the ex-go prevosts. get 'em while you can.

The only thing i didnt like about these were the seats. I didnt find them to be comfortable compared to the MCI's.

Ex-GO Transit Orion V's for sale: http://www.bargainbusnews.com/Buses/2299-2000Orion5Orion5/

As well as an Ex-Los Angeles 1960 TDH-4517 that looks to be in very good shape for her age: http://www.bargainbusnews.com/Buses/1767-1...7/#imgiframediv . Now that's a real beauty! Wish I had the money! If I won the lottery I'd pay off all my debts and go down and pick that bus up!

And a 1973 TDH-3302N Baby New Look: http://www.bargainbusnews.com/Buses/2382-1...MCBabyFishbowl/ .

I suppose they've readjusted the price to 'ward off' any potential 'individuals' who would like to own their own bus and re-do it. Instead, they're probably targeting other transit agencies' who have a fleet shortage.
