I hope no one was injured I heard previously SEPTA was having issues with them structurally and was in a back and forth with Proterra over whether they were fit for service or not. Yeah they been sidelined for 2 years... Another better source of the fire. Nobody was operating it and it was a battery fire again. I'm really starting to not like electric buses tbh... https://www.inquirer.com/transportation/septa-proterra-electric-bus-battery-fire-philadelphia-20221111.html 1

Photos were taken by me. Great pics! Worth mentioning is how spotless SEPTA keeps their buses, inside and out. Of course, your 3222 pics are staged shots of a brand-new bus. Still, it's great to see that those very buses -- after years of heavy-duty service -- still look just like that. SEPTA takes a lot of heat -- some deserved, some not. Yet when it comes to bus maintenance, they quietly lead the industry.
John Sulu
I also saw an ex-SEPTA RTS bus stored at the annex at the Museum of Bus Transportation during the 2022 Spring Fling event. 2

The air conditioning system in those early RTS's was problematic, so a number of agencies retrofitted those buses with aftermarket AC units based on the GMC straight back design introduced with the RTS 04 series buses.
