It's been reported from PTV and PMATS Transit Fan page that all SEPTA's NABI 416 have been retired from Revenue Service as of July 6 or 7, 2015. This marks the end of 40ft high floor buses that SEPTA uses in almost of its service areas.

The only NABI 416 that remains with SEPTA are two converted buses for Mobile Education Buses to educate riders on NPT (New Payment Technologies).

RIP NABI 416 (1996-2015)

According to our PTV and PMATS FB page, sources announced that New Flyer will be awarded the 30ft contract which is the MiDi MD30 model.

Keep in mind, the MiDi was demoed with SEPTA back in 2013 and no doubt after several consideration, SEPTA decides to go with the MiDi.

Wait and see until its official.

Tomorrow, all of SEPTA's Transportation in both buses and trains will be altered which included both detours and service suspensions due to Pope Francis's visit to Philadelphia.

Trolleys and Regional Rail train service will be enhanced, but only limited number of stations will be opened and only passenger with special pope fare pass will be allowed to ride.

Today around Paoli Station, SEPTA Buses and Regional Rails were seen operating on Pope Francis Event Related Transportation. Aside regular service for buses, SEPTA enhanced Regional Rail Train services including Paoli/Thorndale Line to commentate anticipated large number of passengers. In addition, Route 206 operated on special weekend service as well.

You normally don't see the other 200 series route (except for Route 204) running outside of weekday service. But likely for the 1st time since 206 started in its history, it did.
