Paperbus Thread

Recommended Posts

My attempt at the 2008 YRT/VIVA Holiday Bus # 5117 as a sort of special holiday model.

I did the 2008 one as I thought it was the easiest, but there's a few components missing.

Merry Christmas !

Before you guys say otherwise, YES this particular bus does exist IRL - as the photo (courtesy from PhotoTrans) can prove it.

Being a low cost bus operator, I never thought FlixBus would ever put such an expensive 'piece of very high grade equipment' to the fleet.

Because there are no rear side photos however, I decided to just use the Setra Comfort Class 500's back as reference, and leave that area between the rear windshield and hood for adding any customized orange destination-style banner later, as we usually see on most of the rolling stock, particularly the German ones.

Is anyone here in possession of a blank Eldorado E-Z Rider, or even better, an E-Z Rider in the Billy Bishop shuttle livery? Thanks

For very long time my Beulas Jewel was sitting as the only Beulas without it's updated front end - a more rounded front end - precisely because no more Beulas Jewel models have been sold to any Swiss operator as of yet.

The only recent movement about this model is the fact the 13,2 meter one in service with the Transports de Martigny et Region (TMR) has been transferred to l'Oiseau Bleu in Sierre, further to the North, for being used to carry the Hockey Club Sierre (it's possible my usual Beulas customer comes at me for it); it conserves just a few traces from when in service with the TMR.

Actually, I even plan to update the TMR one and ultimately it's new visual with this front end, in line with what I do today.

But now, the first colors belong to a particular Jewel in use for FLiXBUS, which I strongly believe it to be the giant 14,6 meter model; it's plain white with a somewhat vague, green banner on the sides amidships, and since I have no idea exactly how the rear looks like (if there's any banner, if the engine hood houses an Euro V or Euro VI), I decided to take the rear of a FLiXBUS Glory as reference.

had some time to finally get some more paper buses done...

NOTE: the Gillig phantom didn't have a creator name if anyone knows who the original maker is please tell me. I got the phantom from the same site i got the RTS and D40LF From

In recent weeks a gillig phantom has been spotted wandering around Columbus. I havnt been able to take a photo of it as of yet but it is the same color as the clerics in one of my minecraft mods.

a blank version (seeing how the 3 blanks i got all feature tip in windows and not sliding)

And an almost finished version of the Wandering COTA Bus.

(It says final but some decals didn't save)

Portland Trimet buses are on hold still due to the lack of available flxibles  😖 .

Revisiting the Beulas Jewel also gives rise to a double slam: 1. the pre-facelift Jewel in the JR Bus Kanto colors which had been made long gone years ago has just been freshly updated to the current facelift and 2. it obviously beneficiates automatically from the updated front end geometry.

beulas_new_jewel_v2_JRbus.thumb.png.00c38bfb73da7596a5640224f448b86a.pngbeulas_new_jewel_v2_JRbus_p1.thumb.png.86dd43a58c3e6684e7c25145a76ba36b.pngbeulas_new_jewel_v2_JRbus_p2.thumb.png.3da1ff039d6b4b2624479bf29e666c50.png

Other update is the fixed color, sampled from the Van Hool TX25 to match.

I really don't discard making the VDL Futura FDD double decker, although that would mean keeping it inside the 12 meter size, even creating an even more peculiar 9-10m model.

As usual, abide by the rules (listed on the signature) if you are interested in this model in any way.

It's been over two weeks after I actually built the Beulas Glory 13,2m - ex. TMR, now transferred to the Oiseau Bleu fleet as a hockey club transporter - and again as when with the TMR fleet.

Now I post them right here.

beulas_jewel_13-20_v2_oiseau-bleu_p1.thumb.png.6d3c64b3acafaee1d749b4511c5162a0.pngbeulas_jewel_13-20_v2_oiseau-bleu_p2.thumb.png.adc5da3358a5aaf5d94dd21662e462ec.pngbeulas_jewel_13-20_v2_tmrsa_p1.thumb.png.48232519c50a2ba2d1a7789b62d21634.pngbeulas_jewel_13-20_v2_tmrsa_p2.thumb.png.7f8d409786097c9b33def1cc9ed99f89.png

The latter was built and delivered as a gift for the TMR staff, from which I got a series of gifts of their own as a response; that prompted me to further rise the flag and create a special batch of my own, by using my Kashiwazaki Coaster「ANDROMEDA」and「MAGELLAN」.

The「MAGELLAN」itself comes on a peculiar paint scheme you see on the company's minibuses (of the Sprinter and Ducato styles) only, but then for a midibus like this, it's a gamble I believe it will pay off quite a lot, at least as a good concept for a future global paint scheme they might just use on new vehicles regardless of their size.

There is however a second 'p1' file for the「MAGELLAN」which features my studio's logo.
