I think the only other location (other than Downtown LA) where such a photo is possible is at Lake Avenue and Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, where Metro express route 487 crosses Foothill Transit route 187. R. McConnell
So does anyone know the status of Foothill Transit's prototype electric "Ecoliner" bus? It was supposed to be unveiled in April, yet I can't seem to find anything concrete related to this project anywhere. Hopefully it hasn't been delayed too long. According to the minutes of a meeting held in Mid-March, the first Ecoliner was scheduled to be ready for testing at the beginning of April. In addition, they will be numbered in the F2000-Series. On a relevant side note, according to recent Foothill Transit Board Meeting documents, Foothill Transit is considering ordering more Ecoliners for service on Line 280. MCI News Post regarding the CNG Demo: www.mcicoach.com/enTouchCMS/app/viewDocument?docID=761 The unit pictured is a D4500CT unit, the same one Foothill is testing right now although with different imagery, but not a repowered D4000 unit. In the post, it also says that the CNG unit will be stopping in Southern California. IMO, I think this should be enough to put an end to the heated "CNG or not" debate going on several forum websites (especially SubChat and NYC Transit Forums)
