It seems #8525 has been saved from the scrappers torch a decade ago by a private owner but given a new plate as 160 3BH and has been used for the truck and driver training located outside of Kitchener (not my photo). It’s unclear if the owner scrapped the bus or hid it somewhere.

William Mazmanian passed away in August 2021.    He had planned to convert 525 to an RV and bring it to his Florida residence but I didn't hear back from him after his winter 2020 vacation and unsure if 525 made it to Florida.   Driver Training was conducted on ex GRT 2306 when it retired from the region.

Saw another GRT bus beside 2704. I guess the seller sold the other one?

They're being sold by 7820356 Canada Inc out of Quebec. Not sure where the busses are, but if they are actually in Oakville, then the seller could be wanting to sell them quick.

Another Ex. GRT Nova being sold on AutoTrader. Not exactly sure which bus it is, but it's either 2609, 2610 or 2612. It was used as a "medicbus" during the pandemic, (https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/thunder-bay/last-day-care-bus-tbay-1.5990176), and was sold in 2021 to an individual who has no use for it at this point.

Side note: If anybody knows the seller of this particular bus, I'd mention to them that $20,000 is not the going price for Novas of this mileage and age, like they mention in the description. Ex. GRT 2704 (which is in better mechanical shape) is still listed months after it was put up for sale, and it's listed at just under $9000. Not sure how much luck they'll have with this.

i believe thats one of the 24xx there are a few 26xx around being used for the vaccine buses

Not sure about that, the listing says it's a 2008 model. Which is also wrong, given the front end. Has to be 2006 or older, not sure exactly which one.

its 8021 thats the only 2008 retired

I'm sticking to my original guess, all the 2004 models were auctioned off in 2020, too early according to the attached CBC article, and the description in the listing. The 2005 units were auctioned off at around the same timeframe, so I still think it may be a 2006 model, but which exactly, I'm not sure.

The "Care Bus" is former 2400. Listings are not always accurate. Case closed.
