You'll be one of the only ones ;)

Come on! You have to admit it's fun driving one of those Orion V's (the 1990's), belching thick, black smoke out the top exhaust, with the front PR sign saying "Smog Day - Ride The Bus"!

I always found it odd that Dispatch would put out the worst polluting buses like those, on Regional Smog Days! (Now, I do believe that even some of the newer Nova's are starting to "belch" black smoke too, on take off from a stop. Hmmm ......Dept. 2 ???)

Anyway, I will miss the black smoke :o

:( I'll miss the high floors, especially the MCI's because the shape of them were pretty cool. At least 8906 won't be retired because I don't see it on the list ;)

Well, we'll still have the 9400's. <_<

went by the Garage today here are a list of Orion 5s Retired

8911

8913

9009

a friend said they are retired and he is a driver and they are being use for parts.

Wait until September to see what is retired and what is not.

A driver knowing what is happening with fleet?

Highly suspect....:P)

Just because a unit is parked out back, doesn't mean it's toast.

Yeah, shouldn't the HFs be parked for the summer anyway? You guys only need about 50% of the buses you usually use during school days. Maybe that's where they store buses for the summer.

I wish, and they should also get rid of the 9400's too ! But I guess we'll just have to wait until next year !

I think there will still be a few more years on the '92 and '94's. tThere just doesn't seem to be money in the budget to replace that many buses and still do the amount of expansion they seem to want to do.
