So today I saw 5635 on 138E and saw 6501 on 83N. I guess the delineation between First Transit and Transdev is either 5632 or 5633.

Surprised that 6501 is still alive and kicking due to the fact that so many First Transit D40LFs have been retired.

Spotted 5632 running on route 16 today.

Today's auction results:

*7112- $800

*6534- $1,500

*6541- $800

*6558- $750

*6561- $1,600

*6573- $1,000

*6607- $900

*6608, 6630- $1,300

Looks like the Transdev D40LFs are starting to go.

Interestingly I saw C40FRs 6604 and 6610 in service on the 81N this afternoon.

The Wiki says 6581 was retired, but I just saw it on the 50W tonight.

I just checked my notes and you are correct. I got the vin incorrect when I updated the wiki page. 6562 is actually retired, not 6581.

Thanks for the catch, that's my bad.

Where’s the wiki page that you are referring to?

Wikipedia deleted the bus fleet page a few years ago (even though they allowed a fleet listing for most other transit agencies). The wiki on this site doesn’t appear to have been updated in a few years.

It appears some 2009 New Flyer C40LFRs have recently been moved back to Mesa. They still have Tempe sign programming.

As for route assignment, it usually seems like the RPTA tends to assign newer buses to express routes and busier local routes, while less busy routes tend to get more older buses. However, recently there has been a lot of older buses on the busier routes (especially 2009 C40LFRs). I think they want to get as much miles as possible out of them.

Damn shame, the transsee one was real useful... The page is still up just not linked to his page so just to make sure,  I tried using it, but it wouldn't work..

Actually, once again, the results were available for much of the afternoon. By 7pm they were gone.

6544 $3900

6572 $3600

6615 $5100

6623 $5100

6632 $5500

6642 $5000

8027 $2700

8029 $2300

8030 $3500

8032 $2400

8035 $2700

All but 6615/23/32 were purchased by the same person; the other three purchased by someone else (it appears he may have outbid the first person).

Looks like the March deal on 6615, 6623, and 6632 fell through (from that one bidder); now they brought $3000 less.

Saw a picture of Light Rail car 133B in new colors on Valley Metro's Instagram.

The one that was in the February 29 fatal accident, 118B, was in new colors. The first of the S70s should be along fairly soon.
