bus_7246
This is just me (more like a deep wish that I highly doubt will result into anything): I’m hoping that fleet management finds a way to swap isolated units amongst divisions for bridged unison where it can be done. (ie. 1281, 1287, 1305, 1325, 1329 & 1345 to Malvern for 1209-1215 [just an example]). My OCD can’t bare this lol. When Wilson sent 1369 to Malvern, my waters started to get uneasy when the could’ve sent 1364 instead But it makes sense, so I don’t think it will be done... Back to your regular digest on the forum I've always wondered why they chose to allocate the NG Hybrids the way they have throughout their life. My memory is fussy but there was a point in time, I want to say around 2011-12, when they were actually organized by fleet number like all the other buses. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think it lasted more than 12-18 months, 2 years max.

I have an allocation sheet dated November 30, 2012 that has 1200-1370 at Arrow, 1371-1398 at Wilson and 1399-1423 at Mount Dennis; 1500-1689 at Mount Dennis; 1700-1779 at Malvern and 1780-1829 at Wilson (retired vehicles notwithstanding, obviously). Obviously they didn't stay fully numerically organized and there was the odd bus sent elsewhere, but it was by July 2014 they had been broken up again and were all over the place, including some high 1300s and low 1400s making their way to Malvern, and 1500s and 1700s going to Arrow. Thanks for the refresher. So it was during the time period when very little retirements were going on that they got organized. 5 hours ago, Orion V said: Weren't the 1700 batch very organized? But like the other NG Hybrids, they were mixed between garages when they were delivered.

It was all over the place when they were delivered but eventually all the lower ones ended up at Malvern and upper ones at Wilson. Eventually they all moved to Malvern. There was a time in 2014 that a random bunch them were at Arrow for a couple of months. The 1500s were actually pretty organized in the first half of there life. Except deliver, all of them were at MtD till they started rebuilding them and moving them to Malvern to replace the 1700s. There was a couple of times that Arrow borrowed some of them too. They borrowed the 8100s too making them the 3rd division who has operated NG diesels. The 1200s were never organized for most of their life. Lower numbers like 1269, 1273 and 1288 were at MtD while high numbers as high as 1410 was at Arrow. 2010-2014 was when they was the most organized period. It started with Arrow sending their OG hybrids (1000-1049) to MtD in return for 1200s. Wilson divided their 50 OG hybrids (1050-1074) to MtD and (1075-1099) to Malvern. At that time Malvern already have 1100-1149. Some short time later, 1075-1079 went to MtD.
buschic
Living where I do now, I like seeing the complete mashup that has become MTD, also the E-Buses, are being stored outside on a regular basis there. the 10xx are regularly seen on 32, but have ventured over to the 89, 35 & 29 ( I used to think that the 29 was a slinky & Nova only zone) #71/77 have always been interlinked in some way, it’s actually not odd that they are at QSY, they are definitely not the farthest east routed for QSY either. Xtrazsteve
off topic: the ebuses are stored outside is suppose to mimic the environment of regular buses where majority are stored outdoors. Supposedly some are to be kept indoors to see how much difference it would make.
