I'm pretty sure they all have presto too. Movements suggests that more D40LFs retired.

I was taking 7912 on 50 Burnhamthorpe and it had presto machine. However, it was turned off.

At the same time, there were only about 10 D40LF running during the afternoon rush.. So Im predicting D40LF will retire before September.

Only 16 of them made it into service today oppose to 18-20. They were at 24 at the beginning of June. Probably wise to retire them all by the end of July or whenever 15 more Novas enters service.

The presto readers should be enabled when they are installed. I got a feeling they broke down (or lost the GPS signal to tell them their location) after it was enabled. I have seen a bus with the presto card/banner but with a non-function reader. It happens on the streetcars, it can happen on the buses too.

At this rate, the D40LFs are retiring in a dramatic speed by then. If the LFS or 7900s moved to Queensway as D40LF replacements (the buses itself replaced the D901s last decade ago), where would they displace some 7900s or 8000s at to other garages that are not Arrow Road?

Wait and see what happens. I doubt anything is happening till September.

I'm pretty sure the 8000's are glued to Queensway for the rest of their life. The 7900s will probably stay at Arrow/Queensway. Arrow will given up more hybrids till they got nothing left. They still got about 80 of them. I don't think Wilson will get the 7900s back.

I wouldn't be surprised that the next order of 97 LFSes end up at Arrow or split with Queensway.

I don't think Queensway will get the new LFS vehicle.. I haven't seen putting new buses in the Queensway division.

I also don't think all 7900s will come to Queensway because Arrow is keep giving up hybrids to other divisions and they will have bus shortage again.

I expect around 3/4 of 7900 will be at Queensway, so that makes total of 160 cars in the garage (100 8000s and 60 7900s)

You know they are still training with the LFS buses at Queensway. That's a waste if they don't move some there.

Those 97 could be split with Mount Dennis or Malvern, on the document it did show it was to replace 10 of the Orion VII First Generation Hybrids. But the order could have that Arrow Queensway spilt which i see Arrow loosing the rest of its Hybrids to that

It's not the first gen but the NGs that are retiring first. The didn't refurbish all the first gens for them just to hit the scrap yard in a year.

MtD has the best routes for hybrids. As much as I would love to see some diesel buses at MtD, they are better off with hybrids. With exception of a few routes like 32A, 41E and 52. Malvern is not hybrid friendly at all. I won't be surprised if hybrids were last to retire at MtD.

Anyone have the link to the document?

I'm amused that Wilson or Birchmount isn't mentioned on the list. But problem is if the order goes Queensway, many of the 79/80xxs  migrate to other divisions. Same story with Arrow Road, new order pushes some 7900s and the remaining hybrids out of Arrow Road.

I like it better when Malvern ran diesel-powered Orion Vs. Still no surprise they don't have any 40' Orion VII diesel buses (7400s or 7900s) in Malvern's fleet.

Look here it shows the Orion VII Hybrids, and all the first gen's aren't refurbished there is still a bunch of them sitting at Birchmount dead

Are are referring to 1081, 1094, 1099, 1107, 1123, and 1131? They weren't at Birchmount by late May.  They should be rebuilt by end of this month to early August.

Sadly, aside from the three previously stricken hybrids (1256, 1517, & 1671), I believe it's safe to say that 7807, 1295, 1300 & 1599 can be take off the movements list and added to the decommissioned list.

If anyone would ask, I created this thread here to make it easier to discuss:
