Well, it's American Thanksgiving. Usually this means that teams whom are out of the playoff picture stay out and those whom are in, stay in. Only on the rarest of occasions do teams slide out and others get in.
So, in each division, I'll list whom the current leaders are:
Atlantic: Tampa Bay. Metro: New Jersey.
Central: St. Louis. Pacific Las Vegas.

Teams whom are surprisingly out, even if they're 2 points or many points:
Chicago, Anaheim, Minnesota, Edmonton, Montreal, Buffalo,

Any other surprises?

Columbus is atop of the Metro Division, not New Jersey

Surprises: Vegas, Detroit, Winnipeg, and Vancouver.

I think Matthews is day to day right?

The NHL is making us 'guess' what the injury is even though for the most part, visually it looked like it was a concussion.

I remember Ken Hitchcock sometime last month mention that it's about time to eliminate those games with the 'upper body/lower body' stuff. They have 'body' injuries. . Most players are day-to-day (hell, WE'RE ALL DAY-TO-DAY!). We're not dumb.

But of course with Lou Lammerello GM of the Leafs, everything is top secret. Make these things public knowledge!

They do it not because they want us to speculate, but so that opposing teams don't go trying to re-injure that "are"

The league has suspended Ducks forward Andrew Cogliano for 2 games after his interference penalty and illegal check to the head on Kings forward Adrian Kempe during Saturday night's game in Los Angeles. This will end Cogliano's ironman streak, which started as soon as he entered the NHL in 2007, at 830 consecutive games. He will also forfeit over $32,000 in salary.

Toronto Maple Leafs beat the New York Islanders 5-0 c/o Justin Holl and Travis Dermott each scoring their first goals.  It was Fathers' Night at the Air Canada Centre which was marred by a flu bug affecting 3 Leafs players.

In other NHL news, 37-year-old Mike Fisher is coming out of retirement to play for the Nashville Predators.  Hopefully, he'll be able to sign with the club before the Feb. 26th trade deadline.

EDIT: There is talk he could suit up as early as next Thursday when the Predators take on the Senators at the Canadian Tire Centre.

That's big

Especially in the middle of a game and, if I'm not mistaken, the players in question had to leave the ice. What would be cool if they were able to resuit and return to the ice on the opposite team, starting the game on one team and finishing on the other.
