:P

You had to have known before hand that there were no fishbowls left in Saguenay before posting this. There's being many threads over the last few years saying over and over again that the only fishbowls left active in Quebec are running with the STO in Hull. Only #7901, 7742 and 7757 remain in the STO. That's all..

If is says fishbowl are active than yes it's out of date big time. You should pick up a copy of the new Street Side Guide to Urban Transit Fleets in Canada 2009 edition. It has almost all of the Canadian transit fleet roster active as of January 1st 2009. The STS roster is in that guide. The oldest buses in Saguenay are 1988 MCI Classics #8802 and 8805 as of January 1st 09. I doubt those buses are still active today, which would make the three 1991 MCI Classics left the oldest #9101 to 9103.

STS is not happy with their hybrids, looks to CNG.

There was a story been told earlier this year, including hard time in winter. It seems the BAE propulsion didn't do as well as expected!

As of CNG, well, they will have to spend new money for their garage infrastructure, training and other safety. And not to mention, they have hills!

SAGUENAY | Société de transport du Saguenay (STS) will be able to acquire a dozen new vehicles with an investment of $ 10 million announced Thursday morning.

The bus lanes could, in particular, will soon see the light of day on the boulevard Talbot.

The project is not yet clearly defined, and these lanes do not mean that they would be exclusive to buses. However, among the sum confirmed jointly by Quebec and Ottawa on Thursday morning, $ 3 million are for the construction of a priority lane on Talbot.

It is the busiest thoroughfare in the borough of Chicoutimi, after the Dubuc bridge. Of the refurbishment work, which aimed at developing the boulevard sidewalks wide enough for pedestrians and cyclists, started last year.

“We must work with the department of Transportation to develop the plan, said the director-general of the STS, Jean-Luc Roberge. The idea is that the way to be shared with cars, bicycles, and transit users.”

The intention had already been raised by the city and the STS this spring in a project of a circuit connecting the hospital and Cegep de Chicoutimi, Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC). Electric bikes may also be available to users.

With the money of Quebec and Ottawa, the STS will be purchased 12 new vehicles including four hybrid buses of 40 feet, at a cost of $ 3.5 million, which will arrive in a month.

Three million dollars are also provided for the acquisition of eight midi-buses to diesel is 30 feet, and therefore smaller, which are due in march 2018. These midi buses is expected to reduce emissions of fuel and, quite possibly, lead to savings on the fuel bill.

It is, however, to the use that the STS will be able to measure the real economy. “It will take the test on our tours and it will be up to us to see where they could be more effective,” said Mr. Roberge.

An article appeared in the local press recently which provided some details on recent transit funding, mostly from the federal government (PTIF). On the fleet size 4 Nova LFS Hybrids will be delivered in a month and 8 30' buses in Spring 2018.

The reference to 8 30' buses is interesting, there is a good chance they could be Vicinity buses? If I recall correctly Saguenay did demo one a few years back.

It looks as if Saguenay, Sherbrooke and Trois-Rivières will be adopting the Multi card based on the technology developed by the STO.  Saguenay's card will be called the Carte Accès:
