This is the Montreal section and we post quality accurate sightings here. Vigilance is necessary and honesty is needed for this to work. This is NOT the Ontario section where anybody can post anything. You wanna post fake Quebec sightings go here and you can join the fun in trying to find 59-073 and other oxdung. SMS Posted February 21, 2010 Author Report Share Posted February 21, 2010 OK there's been a surge of complaints and we're going to have a nice little discussion here about netiquette: Don't resurrect old dead threads unless there is something really pertinent to discuss LOL and smileys and the like as an entire post are not acceptable posts in quantity Avoid typing sightings if you are not 100% sure of yourself Posting in quantity over quality (saying stuff like post number 3456 does NOT interest anyone but your ego) is frowned upon in general by everybody Consequences Suspension for a reasonable period of time Dishonest posts (re: sightings) - automatic ban This is the final fair warning given. Here goes: The Quebec Transit Discussion can be used to post facts and opinions. Opinions are welcome there. The Sightings for Québec section is a place for sightings, period. Anything else (politics, family, what you thought you saw, fake sightings, blog-like endless opinions) will result in the poster being suspended. If the poster has a history of suspensions then an outright ban is in order. To sum up: we don't care if you're a federalist or a separatist. We don't care about your daughters or sons. We don't care about your blurry picture and your assumption of what the bus is. We don't care for fake sightings. And we don't care for hearsay, rumours, and unsolicited opinions. Just sightings are good enough. At this time, it is of great importance to remember that multiple accounts will not be tolerated. So if person X is suspended and creates a new account, person X will be banned. Once banned, we will use measures to ensure that person X does not return. Furthermore we do not want to associate with trespassers and those members that do so will be banned without remorse. There will not be another post to follow up this one. Please refrain from posting sightings other than your own. Thank you. Some people are not getting the message so we will post this here. Veteren transit fan @gmnewlook had some of his photos from his Facebook group Transit in Quebec mercilessly copied and pasted on the CPTDB. Obviously, this is an abject assault against his integrity and asked the admins to take action. The offending party faces immediate suspension for two months. Similarly, I would like to state that "sightings" using tracker website or apps are increasingly becoming redundant, as we all have access to the same software.
