I'm suprised your not aware of this. It's been floating around GRT for several weeks now, and I'm aware of at least 2 that have confirmations to attend from GRT.

See the attached links:

I'm hoping that we can get daily updates from the drivers on what's happening, what their doing, as well as shifts they received (LMFAO to "all night shifts" beacuse PW has already stated that the service will run 24/7 during the Olympics! So much for going out there, driving 9-5 and then taking in some events!

I've personally been out there in the Winter and I'll tell you I don't think I'd want to be driving a bus on some of those mountain roads, at night, during a snowstorm! Not my idea of a "fun busman's holiday!" I've even been out there, and up at Whistler when a "rock slide" took out the "Sea to Sky Highway" on a Friday night, and it wasn't cleared until early the next week!

I too have been accepted to go (just sent back my signed Offer Letter to Whistler Transit), our Union Education and Newsletter Committee chair has a GRT driver's blog set up so we can keep everyone back home up to date, since he too is going. I do believe he said there were around 15 GRT Drivers going, but that's not confirmed of course. I'm going assuming I can giveaway my February work, and I've had several offers so far....so, GRT Drivers, keep your eye on the bulletin board once sign-up is finished in early December, everything must go :)

Hope all of the GRT drivers going to Whistler don't end up like this! While driving during the Olympics cans seem like a great "holiday", just remember, it's British Columbia, in the mountains, in February, in the winter, and IT WILL SNOW!

Been there, but never did this! (But did experience the BC version of "black ice" and sh*t my pants when it happened!)

This happened on Hwy 99 (The Sea to Sky Highway) in Whistler!

Oi, give credit where ya found that picture.

There's a reason why I now put watermarks on my pictures...

FIDO never once claimed that he took the photo... and with no watermark how could he possibly give credit to who it belongs to ? I have seen this photo on so many different places on the net it isn't even funny. So he may or may not have even gotten it from your Flickr account to begin with.

Good point... wait... what do you mean you've seen it on so many different places on the web?
