Obviously you haven't pulled your head out of your ass yet to read what's been typed over and over, you got people freakin telling you it's a snow plow, a cow catcher does NOT look like that.

I believe there were also mountainous regions with snow that the D&RGW trains would have traversed, further necessitating the use of a plow. So that also kills the "it says Rio Grande, that means it can't be a snow plow" theory.

I found this video on the 'tube (but it's in German):

I've remembered seeing this video (in English) on a TV programme called "Real TV". That show claimed that the footage was shot "near Toronto, Canada". From my own research, I thought that video was shot in Pickering, Ontario, Canada. Can anyone jog back their memory on where and when that incident took place?

Here's my first video, taken a few years back ...

Description: SOO SD60 6047 and CPR SD40-2 5866 haul 68 cars of CP Train 224 east past MP 112.46 of the OVR's Chalk River Sub. Crossing signals are for Clouthier Road. This scene may never be repeated, especially the double stacks, as CP is getting rid of the line (whether its a sale or abandonment hasn't been decided yet).

While the video quality isn't great for my crappy camera (Sony Cybershot H-1), the sound is actually quite remarkable. Sure wish I could figure out how to lock the zoom/focus on it though.

Northbound Amtrak train @ Steilacoom ferry terminal crossing (which includes wayside horns).

I have a feeling in some areas, there will be complaints from the locals. Especially how loud it is, from the motorists who may sue for hearing loss.

...What the heck is that last car before the pushing locomotive from behind?

Wasn't there some creepy black crossing in the Midwest or Central US which had WWII air raid horns? I remember seeing it in a issue of Trains Magazine a few years ago?

Yes I remember that one. I think it was called the "Stop Death Stop crossing" I have tried to find videos of it or at least a picture but have not had any luck

It really is quite the creepy crossing... With the skull and bones, it just scares the hell out of you and makes you double-check before crossing...

Does anyone recall seeing a video that features three teenagers(?) that were playing an arcade game (or are they driving a car?) of some sort and try to beat a level crossing? I've remembered that while seeing a clip on "It seems like yesterday" around 1999 or 2001. As for the clip, it's filmed sometime in the 1970s or 1980s.

Anyone recalling seeing that video?

This past weekend was the Markham Doors Open. The heritage train was charted to run a shuttle service between Markham GO and Unionville GO. I was able to shoot a video of the train going westbound past the historic Unionville station located on Main Street. Check out this rare charter here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WvrgBX1v0k. The camera is somewhat shakey in parts because there was no tripod available to me. This video was pre aranged to be filmed within railroad property and was filmed by a railroad employee. Please stay safe while railfanning. Never Trespass onto the tracks!
