It probably finished a run on the 300B at Kennedy, and the driver chose to take Eglinton to the DVP

TTC 8023 and another handmedown, 805x, seen southbound on the DVP in the wee hours of the morning. Having delivered their handmedown goodness across town, they were returning to south Etobicoke, presumably to torment riders of 50 BURNHAMTHORPE.

TTC handmedown 3366 seen on 50 BURNHAMTHORPE. I thought I was at Danforth and Birchmount for a second.

TTC 7977 and another 7900 seen heading down the DVP after delivering their retro hand-me-down-ness to the benighted east end. Presumably these buses will be dispatched to 30 HIGH PARK, 66 PRINCE EDWARD, or 189 STOCKYARDS after being refueled and having holes drilled in the muffler for more power.

Looking at those fleet numbers, those would be Orion 7s, which prompts me to ask, what muffler?

So I noticed this yesterday, and it’s still tracking as such today. There’s a TTC bus out of Wilson tracking as “7”. It was in the 960 yesterday evening, and was on the 60 this morning. It’s now back at Wilson. 
 

Update: the bus is out on the 989 tonight

Just saw a train of T1's with cars 5163-5162-5063-5062-5262-5263 leaving runnymede stn eb a few mins ago.

All 6 cars on the train were xx62/xx63 pairs.

Also not RADs, but 9061 and 9065 were on 85J yesterday. Looking at previous tracking data, it looks like artics on 85J have been the norm on weekends for at least the past month.

Yeah... whenever Malvern is told to assign artics on the 85, they seem to be put on random 85 crews, with preference usually  given to runs that are in service longer; the buses that stick to the 85J branch between Sheppard-Yonge and Don Mills aren't given any special exception, and since they are some of the ones out longest in service, they almost always get artics. I agree, it's pretty useless to do this, since the artics are supposed to provide extra capacity where the 985A is supposed to be (aka, east of Don Mills Station).

This has been the norm for any time the 985 isn't running during the pandemic, including all the way back to 2020.

I saw a bus. From the TTC. Using the High Street loop. It wasn't an interesting bus, so, some Nova.

Also I saw ancient hand-me-down TTC 4401 making its rounds on Harbourfront.

TTC 7919 seen on the Route That Was Named #1 Three Times In A Row, 111 EAST MALL.

Isn't this, like, a special sighting? Posters with High Connections In The TTC have assured us that these buses would be retired in 2020 2019 1987. Yet here one is on the road in 2022!

Or is it because of the pandemic, every day is exactly the same? Groundhog day for 7900s?

TTC hand-me-down 8074 and really ancient TTC hand-me-down 7910 both seen bringing retro goodness to 127 DAVENPORT, well east of Kipling Jane Dufferin Bathurst.

The kerning on 8074's front and back fleet number is kind of strange, the 4 pushed up against the 7.

Upon returning to their respective garages after refurbishment at Harvey Shops, all helvetica numbers had the digit following the 7 placed snuggled behind it. It’s been the thing since the 74xx were refurbished
