TransLink is looking to bring rapid Transit to Surrey on King George Boulevard, 104th Avenue and Fraser highway. I'm wondering what of the four options will be the best for Surrey: 1. Bus Rapid Transit on King George Boulevard, 104th Avenue and Fraser highway. 2. Light rail transit on Fraser highway, and Bus Rapid Transit King George Boulevard, 104th Avenue. 3. Light rail transit on King George Boulevard, 104th Avenue and Fraser highway. 4. Rapid rail transit (SkyTrain) above Fraser highway, and Bus Rapid Transit on King George Boulevard, 104th Avenue. Fraser highway line will go from Surrey Central Station or King George Station to Langley Centre. King Geogre Boulevard line will go from Surrey Central Station to White rock. http://www.translink.ca/en/Plans-and-Projects/Rapid-Transit-Projects/Surrey-Rapid-Transit-Study.aspx

With Phase 2 of the Southwest Rapid Transit Corridor finally open, I guess all eyes are on the Transit Master Plan, which was technically implemented in part with the opening of Phase 2. Eight years came and went between the opening of Phase 1 and the opening of Phase 2. Will we see an implementation of this plan, or a variation on it, in the next ten years?

Hi folks. Check out http://www.winnipeg.ca/matmgt/bidopp.asp, specifically project 555-2015 at the bottom. Some interesting content if one wades through it, including BRT through Union Station, and investigating a new garage in the northeast.

The first train has been unveiled to the public. http://khon2.com/2016/05/02/honolulus-first-rail-cars-unwrapped-train-unveiled/ More delays could happen on the project due defects found in the cars: http://khon2.com/2016/12/15/honolulus-rail-faces-possible-delay-after-defect-found-in-rail-cars/
