  1. Similar to the GM fleet reminiscing, I created this thread to share the memories and photos of your experience with the TTC's non-GM Fishbowl fleet prior to 2002 such as Classics, Flyers, New Flyers, Orions (I, II, III, V, VI and pre-refurbished VII), and NovaBUS RTS. If anyone has photos prior to December 31, 2016, feel free to post your old photos from old shoe boxes, slides, even library microfiche or whatever is there. Just don't claim that they are your own if they are not. The following photos are sampled below from my collection: Thanks to @Grapejuice for this inspiration for this thread.
  2. I am creating this new topic to gauge interest in restoring an Orion III bus. A few years ago I read about a scrapyard containing some retired Orion III busses, since than I have thought about the possibility of "resurrecting" one of them. According to my research they suffered from major corrosion issues as well as general reliability problems while in service leading to their relatively early retirement. Restoring one to road worthy condition would likely take plenty of work as they have been sitting in a scrap yard for roughly 22+ years, compounding the already prevalent rust issues. Do any of you think there would be enough interest to allow me to run a successful fundraising campaign if I were to attempt the restoration? <Photo from Transit Toronto
  3. Does anyone have any audio / video recordings of this bus? I found one somewhere on the CPTDB in a thread which someone replied "OC Transpo 8651 on route 95, recorded February 2002." But I can't find it any where now .
