Hey everyone, to keep up with the retirements of the OCTA New Flyer C40LFR, I provided a separate thread so we know which ones are retired at the moment, and which ones are still active presently. The replacements for these buses are Gillig Low Floor Plus CNG buses all to be delivered by next year at the time of writing. The 2001 New Flyer D60LFs from the OCTA were never repowered from and delivered with Detroit Diesel Series 50s according to Facebook at Orange County Transit Fans. These buses had Cummins ISL upon delivery in late 2001 to early 2002, making them the very first New Flyer D60LFs to come with that engine. Also, the diesel ISL engine was offered early in 2001, as a result of the problems the 7200s and 7300s had with their underpowered Detroit Diesel Series 50s, at which they were repowered in 2004-2005. Units 7401-7412 were built in October 2001, while units 7413-7420 were built in November 2001. These buses all have about 65 American Seating 6468s. So far, unit 7406 has been taken out of the fleet as of today. Revert this edit due to the fact it would draw misconception among many bus fans in Southern California.
