Yesterday, I rode a Cerritos on Wheels bus with the fleet number 16, on route 2. First Transit runs these buses but they don't own them just like the OCTA, NCTD, and Foothill Transit. This bus service connects with Metro, OC Bus, Long Beach Transit, and Norwalk Transit. There are 6 routes: 1A, 1B, 1C, 2A, 2B, and 2C. All routes run from Cerritos Towne Center to Cerritos College. There are at least 4 buses in their fleet: Units 15-18, 2004 model ElDorado National XHF propane buses built around December 2004. These buses have 31 4ONE Angel seats, TwinVision Amber LED signs, and Cummins Westport B LPG engines with Allison Transmission B300R 5 speed powertrains. The one way fare costs $0.50, a monthly pass is $20, and a set of 3 monthly passes are $30. So far, this is my first ride on a high-floor transit bus, apart from those OCTA cutaways I rode on routes 164 and 191.
