On the wiki for the XD40, the SR1212 prototype is mentioned but has no pictures. I found SR1212 in Winnipeg today, and got pictures. The bus is busted up a bit and it's not the best image in the world, but it's better than nothing.
The first of West Vancouvers newest XD40s arrived on property August 18 2016 with the 1601 and 1602. 1603 arrived August 19th with two more to follow 1604 and 1605. They will be outfitted with fareboxes and Compass along with other details at Western Bus. Here is a photo for the wiki page of 1602
See in "G" on Monday, March 30th, 2015... I was told it was a "pilot" delivery. As in, Winnipeg Transit will have it for a few weeks to look at, examine, and drive around, before it goes back to NewFlyer with feedback intended to smooth the delivery of the main part of the order.. Note that at this point the unit lacks the standard stripe decals. There was also no farebox inside when I looked. (I forgot to check if it had a radio). I was also told that the 2015 deliver of XD40's would be numbered 831-888.
