  1. According to page 153 on the December 14, 2017 Board Meeting report, there is a project titled "2019 Conventional bus expansion" under the 2018 New Capital Program that highlights the replacement of 25 High Floor Buses with 32 double-decker Low Floor buses. What we DON'T KNOW at this moment: 1) Destination sign 2) Seats (I know they went with Lazzerini but I forgot which type). 3) Height and configurations (including the engine, doors, seating arrangement) 4) Which Orions will be replaced What we DO know at this moment: 1) Alexander Dennis will be providing the double deckers (since they're the only successful makers in North America thus far) 2) Colour scheme 3) Transit Centre (besides RTC because a chunk of them are going there for sure.) 4) Route specifics (aside from 601/555 linegroup)
  2. So apparently Translink is going to replace all their diesel buses with electric buses. I don't know what this will entail, or if the hybrids and shuttles will be at risk. this is for updates and thoughts. info on procurement, and opinions are welcomed.
  3. I have a photo of the back of 16001 if you need one. Also in the 40" discussion page some other people such as @Blue Bus Fan have photos of other new XN40s.
  4. I got an email from Translink today (after I complained about how slow the NovaBus hybrids were on the 144) and I got this reply/confirmation that Translink's new order of NFI XN40s will be operating out of Hamilton Transit Centre, so Burnaby/New Westminster bus watchers keep your eyes peeled.
  5. I will post all my new vids and flickr updates here. http://www.youtube.com/user/jmsalgorithms Sub if you want https://www.flickr.com/photos/93337835@N06/ Follow me here too if you want I'll start off with my 2 most recent. Meet up at Maple Meadows: Skytrain goes the wrong way:
  6. VanCity Buzz is reporting that three Translink buses have had Telus WiFi installed for free use by passengers. The signal is provided by Telus and the three vehicles are wrapped for the company. The promo video shows B8125 as one of the three units. Routes are 99, 351, and 555. Unfortunately CPTDB continues to have difficulty supporting the world's most prolific browser and I cannot paste the source link in. If someone could do that I'm sure everyone would appreciate it
