  1. An industry friend has told me the Ontario Highway Transport Board has received 3 applications for Intercity Bus Service. 2 applications are on behalf of FlixBus. Zoom Tours (Northstar Limousine) will operate the Toronto - New York City run and a Boston Operator will operate the Toronto - Boston run. The third application is for Equinox Bus Lines to operate Toronto - Boston but no connection to FlixBus. I guess FlixBus wants to get a head start on deregulation and you can say, take advantage with the pandemic.
  2. It would appear that Norwegian's permit has gone through with Transport Canada, July 23rd being their expected fly in date for Canada. No talk on where they would be flying out of, but my assumption would be Pearson or Trudeau. https://otc-cta.gc.ca/eng/ruling/2018-a-36 http://www.travelweek.ca/news/norwegian-air-could-be-in-canada-as-early-as-july-23/

  4. This man was raising ducks to help feed the homeless in Toronto but sadly he just lost his main source of income as Youtube terminated his main channel. I am posting this on all social media accounts to raise awareness of what this man is doing and now may have to abandon because of what youtube has done. A user named rapunzel69 posted this message on tumblr Dear Youtube & Staff - Why are you demonetizing smaller channels that don’t deserve what they’ve been dealing with this last year and half ? rapunzel69 Especially the ones that try to do good and that try
  5. Hello everyone, the 5th Year Anniversary runs for the Virtual TTC Academy will be happening on December 28, 2017. If we do not get enough people for these runs, the TTC Academy might be shut down due to a large number of inactive operators. The runs are already posted on the run sheet, but here is a preview of the runs. 6. Hi Everyone, My website is the All-Time List of Canadian Transit Systems . I started the project in 1989 and converted it from paper to the World Wide Web in 1993. My goal has been to capture a basic outline history of each local and commuter transit system in Canada, with the names and dates of the companies and agencies operating the system, and their operating modes. Along the way I've tried to illustrate typical (or, sometimes, unusual) vehicles used with photos (my own, donated images, or links to pictures elsewhere on the web). I update the content frequently. A log of updates (si
  7. I've been traveling on Greyhound for almost a year now and a thought struck me the other day when i was coming back to Toronto from Rochester, New York. It seems that the new Prevost buses aquired by GH Canada aren't actually new. The new X3-45's are always on the New York City-Toronto and London-Detroit-Chicago routes but never on any local routes in the GTA. They do however operate x3-45's with fleet number 88xx but a driver told me they were from 2008 and were transferred to GH Canada in 2014. He told me when they came to Canada they were plagued with problems. Transmissions were fallin
  8. I have some questions about the Cummins L10 engine and its common transmission, the Voith DIWA D863.2-W7. This winning combo lasted from 1986 to 1994. Among them: 1. Were there any Canadian TA's that specified the L10 and Voith in the angle-drive (aka V-drive) layout? There, only one manufacturer offered such a configuration: New Flyer, since they made buses in both T-drive and V-drive layout. But here in the U.S., we had two more manufacturers cataloging this powertrain in this layout: Flxible and Neoplan (the latter, like New Flyer, built buses in both T-drive and V-drive layouts). 2. 10. http://m.goal.com/s/en-us/news/2883056/ The US men's soccer team will play a Friendly (Exhibition) game against Canada, June 3rd at BMO Field in Toronto to celebrate the CSA's 100th anniversary. Any Thoughts? And no negative comments.
