  1. Here's a couple of photos of Orion VII NGs, currently being tested in passenger service. One of these buses (1294A) appears to be in TTC specs. Scroll down for the photos. http://transitstuff.iforumer.com/viewtopic...nsitstuff#16395

  3. This year they used RTSs (TMC and Novas) and Hybrid Orion VIIs. Last year they've used RTSs, Orion Vs (ex-Green Lines) and an MCI Classic I believe.
  4. This past Saturday I went to the MTA Bus Roadeo and snapped a few pics. I had a good timme and the food was pretty good too. Well anyway, here are pics of the buses that MTA Bus has in their museum fleet. Enjoy! 2007 MTA Bus Orion VIIs #3670 and #3661 1988 Liberty Lines Express MCI TC-40102A "Classic" #3006 1981 New York Bus Service GMDD T8H-5308A "New Look" Suburban #1502 1994 Queens Surface Corp. 5. Well, what exactly do you want to know about a statewide transit system, such as NJ Transit?
  6. Thanks! Yeah. The NYCT bus roadeo is held once a year. It usually takes place during the month of September, but a date hasn't been set yet. Otherwise, these buses are kept in regular bus depots.
  7. Thanks!! Yeah the MTA has a good number of Fishbowls in their museum fleet. They have about eight of them. -1959 GM TDH-5301 #100 -1961 GM TDH-5301 #1059 -1962 GM TDH-5301 #2151 -1963 GM TDH-5303 #3758 -1966 GM TDH-5303 #8466 -1968 GM T6H-5305A #8928 -1970 GM T6H-5305A #5227(formerly #4401, rebulit by Blitz) -1974 GM T6H-5307A #621(Triboro fishbowl, inherited after the Triboro takeover) They also have about three Flxible New Looks in their collection. Yup, that's correct. Yup, that's correct. Built in 1982.
  8. Here's some pics I've taken on a fan trip a few weeks back. Enjoy. These were taken at City Island in the Bronx. These were taken at Pelham Bay. Taken at Parkchester: #1481 next to MCI D4500CL #3433. #1481 with New Flyer D60HF in the background. #1481 with original New York Bus Serivce bus stop. Taken in Midtown Manhattan: In front of MTA headquarters. Where buses from all NYBS lines go to lay up until their next run. GM Fishbowl model. I think it's Corgi, not entirely sure. Interior shot of 1481. Another GM T8H-5308A, #1502
  9. I don't hear much about those leak problems down here about the DD Series 50 engines. Almost all of the buses(both NYCT and MTA Bus) have Series 50 engines and they're great to some extent.
  10. You can say bye-bye to the GMC RTSs as well--since they're the oldest RTSs around. The oldest Orion Vs were repowered and had their 6V92 engines removed a few years ago. Now they have Detroit Diesel Series 50 EGR engines.
  11. My best guess is that there are about 20-25 MCI Classics left currently running in service. All of those Classics in the pics above(except for those that are in the repainted MTA Bus livery) are heading to the scrapper. There are hundreds of RTSs currently running on MTA Bus routes. However, with the new hybrids coming in, the GMCs will be phased out, and probably along with some of the TMCs, and most of the TMC are in bad shape. Also, the TMC RTS-06 CNG buses have been fully retired from service. There are hundreds of Orion V CNGs and about fifty Orion V diesels in service. As for the D450
  12. Enjoy the pics! Any questions about any of the pictures, just ask!
