    Leamington Transit

I found out that as of 2005 they had only 2 buses, so that would probably be the cutaway and the orion I. They might have gotten more since then(the other "apparent" cutaways.) So far that's all I know.
  2. Here's some more I dug up.
  3. Here's another one that I dug up.

    Transit Windsor

So then 6 buses(2 new looks and 4 classics) will be retired with no replacements? They're supposed to retire in 2006(or should I say WERE) and be replaced by buses in the new order. On another note, if Transit Windsor really wants to expand into Tecumseh and Lasalle, I think they should make bus terminals there so that the customers can transfer with other routes coming into Windsor. My best bet would be at Malden Plaza and the newest shopping Centre at Manning/Tecumseh(with OUR old Swiss Chalet, I don't know the name of it). Then they could have routes going around the towns and some routes

  6. Ya I know..but if I do that, ill make a different website for transit windsor only, cuz I cant really do different sections on piczo the way I'd like to. So when it comes to that, I'll make a new site with a link on the old one. Fotopic is definitely the site I should have gone with, but I didn't know about it at the time.
  7. I just added 33 pictures to the site(one of them being 912). The 33rd is at the bottom of the main page, it's an updated pic I took today of the new City Centre Terminal. Hope you guys like it.

    Transit Windsor

I just found on Transit Windsor's website that ridership across the whole system is over 25,000 daily rides.

Ok thanks for the update. I haven't checked it today yet. I still have yet to see a Classic on the tunnel, I'm glad you did. For anyone who doesn't know, you can view the Tunnel buses(along with buses on the 1A, 4, and 6) in action(also LIVE in real time) on the internet on the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel website under traffic, then the 2 webcams they have for the Windsor and Detroit Toll Booths.

    Transit Windsor

I just went by the garage last night and I didn't see anything new there. I just emailed the one Transit Windsor driver that I know to see what's going on with new buses and/or new routes.

Ya, I think they would have more than one bus, because according to their site, they have 2 routes. So all they have is a couple Fords and that's it, no 35-40ft buses? That's good that they have their own transit system. Now it's time for Tecumseh, Amherstburg, St. Clair Beach, Lakeshore, Essex and Kingsville to start their own transit systems since Transit Windsor isn't going anywhere fast. Lasalle is the only other suburb that has transit service(from TW). Transit Windsor was supposed to have 2-3 more routes in Lasalle and a couple in Tecumseh starting in September 2006 but I don't know wha
  12. Here is a link to the official bus roster. http://www.citywindsor.ca/DisplayAttach.asp?AttachID=5532 And the cutaways are used in different services in Transit Windsor. Some are wrapped/painted(dont know which) in a Casino Windsor livery and used as a shuttle between a Casino parking lot and the casino itself. The rest are used as driver shuttles from the garage and the terminals, and also on some routes during off peak times when there isn't enough demand for a 40ft or 30ft bus. You can see pics of these on my site in my signature.
  13. Yes Transit Windsor did have 2 Orion 7s go up there.. They were 425 and 437, a 2002 and a 2004. 425 has the seats at the back forward facing and 437 has 2 seats facing forward on each side(at the front of the HF section), I think 4-5 seats facing the middle on each side after that(with your back against the wall), and then the 5 seats facing forward right on the back wall like any HF bus. See the pic here for reference, it's not the best but you get the idea. It was taken by me in 437 way before it was sent to Toronto. How are GRT's configured at the back?

    Leamington Transit

Does anyone know if this is the only bus that Leamington Transit has left? I had no idea that they retired the Orion I(s), or that they had more than one of them. I haven't been to Leamington in so long. So how many buses di they have(what kind) and how many do they have now(and what kind)? I looked around for a while and couldn't find this info, so thanks ahead of time.
  15. Pics 1, 4, 8, and 9 were taken at the Downtown Bus Terminal(which is shared with Greyhound Canada). Pics 2, 3, 10 and 11 are buses on layover just outside the terminal. The rest are taken along the routes of the buses being photographed. Great pics!
  16. Would any of those pics be for a new Transit Windsor gallery by any chance??lol
  17. Whoa whoa whoa, wait a minute.. That article says that the STM ordered 322 Nova Artics for 2009-2012 with the option of 100 more for 2013 and 2014. So instead of STM getting 202 they're actually getting 322??? And they can still get 100 more???? That's going from zero to 422 artics!!!!!!!!!!! IF they get the option. How come nobody caught this one??
  18. For 2007 and 2008, Barrie Transit, York Region Transit, Durham Region Transit, Burlington Transit, London Transit and Transit Windsor are trying to make a joint bus purchase aimed at New Flyer for 45-100 40ft buses each year. So if all goes well, that could be up to 200 buses for 6 transit systems! http://www.londontransit.ca/agendas/112906vii8.pdf

A train just left Windsor tonight heading towards London around 8-8:30 with like 20 cars full of people. What the heck is going on? It's like a full Halifax train leaving Windsor instead of pulling in.
  20. NYC by a long shot. Ray Barano or Robert Barano? RIP Peter Boyle(Frank)

Transit Windsor just might go with New Flyer for 2007-2008. Check out this document. http://www.londontransit.ca/agendas/112906vii8.pdf I can Imagine what a D40LF and D60LF would look like in Transit Windsor's livery too, I think it would look awesome.

    Your Commute

Haha, I like that one! Mine in the morning is taking the 1C Express(W) to downtown and transfer to the 3(E) to go to school. this takes about 40 minutes including the transfer. After school I take the 2(E) from school to Tecumseh Mall where I transfer to the 4(E) and go home. This takes about 50 minutes including the transfer. There's a lot of other ways I can get to school and back but that's the one I take every day and the one that I like the most. It doesn't matter which buses I take the most will be an hour one way. total(that I take) is about 1.5 hours.
