  1. I don't even think TTC knows where there sending them. They'll probably wait for NFI to send a message that one is being shipped, then at that point TTC will scramble to find which Divsion they'll send it to.
  2. I hear it can be tight on Sundays? But I mean straight up and down, can't go wrong with that.
  3. Remember it's really just a swap. So whatever the bus fleet is now, won't be affecting , for the most part a 1:1 replacement. Also, a bus shortage now isn't really affecting service now anyways. The shortage can be fixed by this weekend really. It's not that dire of a shortage. As for why the swap is on hold, I'm not sure. But it's probably on hold until Sept.
  4. I got word that route 45 going to Queensway is on hold. So best to wait until the service summary comes out.
  5. When the 7300 was about to retire, the 8300 was planned for Queensway back then. But management decided to send novas to Queensway instead. Novas will last at queensway longer than the orion's there. Looks like Queensway at this rate might be the last garage with orion's. I'm actually still surprised orion's are still at arrow. They were initial on loan , temp swap. Maybe not all the 8300 will move compared to the 8100s. But when the Ebuses come in, I expect obviously another set of major movement. And with summer coming, I expect a reduce demand for.bsjes untill Sept.
  6. Also, some Orion 3 ran on 52 back in the early 90s.
  7. I do see arrow puts their flyers out on weekends. There was a time when I would see a few out on weekends.
  8. I guess with the shut down of Pittsburg plant , they'll be stretched for storage space. Maybe they should have used the US plant to help with the overload of orders?
  9. So the last 10 buses of the 7100 order has this new blindspots detection sensors. They have black senors on the exterior, and black rectangular boxes in the driver's areas to warn of any object for the driver to be alerted. There's one in either side of the driver's seat. Pictures to come later.
  10. Apply to TTCs bus engineering department. Lol We all know the 3330+ won't be pulled from airport duties. Especially for older buses. They made the last diesel orders with luggage racks for a reason.
  11. The open side mirror is really extended. I know most TTC buses, they have that mirror more tucked in. And hopefully the rear is similar to the 3700 with the grill at the back. No decals on it yet. I hope TTC uses the 2000 numbers. I expect Arrow to get them first.
  12. So to add to the swap. I heard 40 junction is also going to Mount Dennis. So altogether, 26, 30, 40, 55, 77, 127, 189, 203, going to Mount Dennis, and 45/945 going to Queensway.
  13. That's one factor. But the flip side to that is safety and security for passengers and employees. And investigation purposes. But having duplicate numbers is not new within transit , usually amougest different modes. NYC is another example.
  14. The T1 replacement hasn't been ordered, and still years away. Maybe they can use , 4700 and up, allowing for 5000 to be replaced and reduce overlap. TTC should have used 2000 to give them a fresh start. That would have been 1000 buses potentially. The 60 ebuses might not be around long either, so 3700 and up could be T1 replacement. Or even 9500 and up. I still think TTC might reconsider putting this year's order in the 6000
  15. I'm thinking, doesn't GO transit not use duplicates numbers? Also, TTC has two PCC that share numbers with existing Flexities. I wonder if TTC can do the same thing here with the 6000s. I doubt that will fly though. But it would be interesting. It would be nice if the flyers took the same numbers as the D901s.
  16. Only over lap would be the TR trains. Other than, as T3G said, it's not owned by TTC. TTC might have to revised the numbers actually. 6000 and up is TR. So they just need to push it up, to 6200 and up. Or use the 2000 range.
  17. New Numbers for Ebuses. NFI 6000-6203 Nova 6600-6735
  18. Queensway had some rads as well. And obviously the current shuttles. TTC might surprise us, and have 45 split between Mount Dennis and Queensway. Similar to before mount Dennis opened , but with Arrow
  19. Agreed. But I'm sure , based on the vid they showed that they'll have a more modified model for the North American market.
  20. How true is the statement that BBD was caught with their pants down regarding the Minneapolis LRVs? From what I remember, city council wanted to go 100% low floor so they couldn't use those cars anyways. They would need another model. Plus the Minneapolis LRVs cars was just a demo, they new it was just an idea of what to get. It's well known by BBD and TTC that those cars wasn't going to fit in the existing network. And a modified version of them would be made for TTC. As for the current cars being too slow, which is a another major contributing factor is TTCs operating procedures, and to be honest the cars being way too long. I get the capacity to operator ratio reasoning. But it's still makes for a negative experience. I think the only area that should have been taken into consideration was bidirectional cars. It doesn't mean you have to make crossovers at end of the line locations, it could have been done over time. Also, TTC was the one that said it's best to stick with BBD for the extra cars than go searching for another manufacturer. Probably some politics behind the scenes, with everything regarding TTC business.

  22. Brampton Transit 0831 on 14 today. I haven't kept up with the used Brampton buses. But would this be the first day of service?
