  2. Thank you very, very much, guys! STL is a very, very complex roster, probably worst in all of Canada! Looking forward for more serial info!
  3. Does anybody have a fleet list with serials for Levis? Newest I have is from 1994, with 9432 as newest bus. Needd VIN info on anything after, specifically fleet numbers ending 40, 73, 74, 76. Also missing fleet number ending in 24 (most likely an ex STRSM Classic, as 8222,8223 are ex STRSM 8219,8217). Also a few Wiki problems - Ex Grand Rapids Classics 9044-9053 - one too few ex Grand Rapids numbers Fleet number ending in 93 is duplicated - 9193 ex RTC Classic, 9593 ex St Agustin RTS. Since no other final two numbers duplicate, one has to be in error?? Andre
  4. I agree... Delivery lists are a great start point these days as there is very little activity in the bus resale business, but some builders deliveries are very poorly documented (such as Chance/Opus). In fact ALL builders are becoming very hard to get info on. So something is better than nothing. I happen to be in Chicago, so I know midwest fleets quite well, but not all details. I have been adding to Pace, CTA, and other Chicago rosters, and have more to add, especially historical data. But others need to add for other regions.
  5. Are we sure Laval 0700's are 12 in number and not only 10? Several NOVA serial lists only show 10 (0701-0710, 73000145-73000154)
  6. Few corrections to PACE roster: Pace has had a thing about "13" numbers over the years. 8713 was the last one. So there is no 2513, no 2613, no 2713, etc. There are 130 2600's. 1st batch was 102 buses (2600-2612, 2613-2702). 2nd batch was 40, 2703-2712, 2714-2743. Orcer was for 222, so 80 to go. These supposedly will be 35-foot instead of 30 foot. Old buses actually redone in RTA/Pace colors: Safeway: 603, 40 of 701-755 (one destroyed prior to rebuild, 14 not redone and scrapped). 33 later to CTA. Nortran 401-474 - most, but not all, repainted PACE. 162 and 166 (5304's) were repainted also Elgin - 1040-1043, 1051-1053, 1061-1067 Wilmette 761-765 (later at Waukegan) West Towns 801-832 - 5 repainted, 25 fully rebuilt, 1 scrapped, 1 not repainted or redone Suburban Transit - 146-165 19 of 20 repainted Suburban Transit 5301's and 5303's were never operated under PACE. When 146-165 came in 1974, the older bowls were relgated to charter and school work only. None of Joliet's were ever redone. Also as trivia, Joliet Mass Transit District was NOT a mas transit district at all, but a City of Joliet department! MTD was never voted on.
  7. CUSA 40574 is new to CUSA-Keeshin. 40199 and the Orion 21008 are thought to be ex CUA in New Jersey.
  8. CUSA buses should be fairly easy to ID, as the fleet number is the last 5 numbers of VIN! There are about 10 i9n service, NABI's, a couple of Thomases, and some Orions. Used between train stations and 600 W Chicago Ave
  9. CTA work buses section 3 - 1990's to current: This gets complicated, so try to follow me: early 90's most existing work buses were assigned to Ironworkers for L structure maintenance. Most were renumbered according to which gang they were assigned to: BL1322 to IWB1 BL1326 to IWB2 IWB3 possibly ex BL1323, later r# IWB7 BW59 to IWB4 BW60 to IWB5 BW52 to IWB6 BL1323 to IWB7 BW63 to IWB8 BW56 to BW10 (apparently a spare) As these wore out and were condemned, they were replaced 2001 by Flyer D901A's. These were frequently reassigned between gangs and renumbered: WB1 ex 9958 WB2 ex 1602 WB3 ex 9800 WB3 (2nd) ex 9842 WB3 (3rd) ex 9968 (was TC8?) WB4 ex 9832 r# WB10 WB5 ex 9842 r# WB3 (2nd) WB5 (2nd) ex 1620 WB5 (3rd) ex 9968 WB6 ex 4323 (might not have been renumbered) WB7 - not used BW8 ex 9914 BW9 ex 9893 BW10 ex 9815 BW10 (2nd) ex 9832 More recently, RTS's have replaced the Flyers BW10 BW11 ex 4907 BW12 ex 4914 BW13 ex 4911

  15. Since you are from Austin... Do you know anything about some Eagles CapMetro supposedly had in commuter service in the 1990's? Ran across a reference from late 90's, but no details... Andre

  17. You can drop Archer garage from list - closed 2/7/09. Same day all remaining 6000-6329 series Flx Metros OOS account service cuts. Most stored at former Archer garage now pending official retirement. Few Chicago roster adds/corrections: 130-131 were two standard 35-foot Flxibowls refitted with lifts for paratransit service. Only two in series. After paratransit was contracted out, both became "work trucks". 3239 and 3695-3699 were later refitted with Detroit Diesel engines. Flx old look 8149 had a Leyland diesel when new, got standard propane FTC-180 later on. 8499 (the real hybrid!) new with standard old-look front and Detroit Diesel engine. "New Look" front put on before entering service, but after delivery. (Photos exist of original front in scrap pile at CTA main shops!). Was fitted withj several experimental engines in its first few years, including a propane one, but ended up with a Detroit again, which it still has. Has not run in some years now, but still owned by CTA.
  18. Does anybody have VIN's for NCTD (Oceanside CA) 2100's (Chances) and 2500's (NFIL's)??

Legit fleet numbers were always 428-447.
  20. I noticed a rather-incomplete SNTC roster here. Let me add a few things. Mesquite and Laughlin services (Routes 601-603) were originally operated by CAT-Las Vegas using local drivers, but buses (usually D40LF's) that were rotated from Las Vegas every couple of days. After Flyer 645 was destroyed in a battery fire out by Searchlight coming back from Laughlin, RTC decided to give up on this service, and SNTC was organized to take over. SNTC's original fleet was two ex Reno T70604's and two ex Reno T80604's, numbered 101-104, apparently 2 at Mesquite and 2 at Laughlin. About the same time (2003) RTC decided to give the Las Vegas route 118-Henderson/Boulder City to SNTC, along with two NABI's 759 and 760. At least one of these was "stickered" with a very fancy "Silver Rider" silver and red livery, but it was very soon back to CAT White/aqua/salmon. The 118 was a disaster. Both NABI's soon broke down, there was apparently nobody at SNTC capable of fixing them, and service was soon down to a 12-passenger van. Within 6 months CAT took the route and two buses back, and it is now part of the long 402-Downtown/Boulder City line. (I was driving for CAT as this was going on...)
  21. Not true at all - RTC Reno has had one artic (a Neoplan AN460LF) #605 since 2002.
