  1. 4568 had to be towed to remove it from the scene...car 4519 was driven in reverse through the St. Clair Stn loop to couple it up to 4568 and then was used to tow it to Leslie. The following morning (July 27), car 4419 was used to tow car 4568 from Leslie to Hillcrest. 4568 has been at Harvey Shops ever since...ironically, in the same repair bay in which car 4409 had sat for almost ten months and had only vacated it the weekend prior to this collision. 4409 has returned to Leslie but has yet to return to service...it has not been in service since September 14 of last year.
  2. Thanks for the update! ...and 4460. That one is still off property as well. XTTX 142012, the transporter used to re-deliver 4463 has only been removed from Hillcrest this weekend....the siding had been blocked off for a couple of weeks by a long cut of autoracks...and even after the autoracks were removed, it took some additional time for CP to finally pick it up. In turn, CP has delivered transporter ITTX 965335, carrying car 4462, to Hillcrest. Car 4462 is to be unloaded tomorrow (August 9) in all probability...unfortunately, it has been vandalized with graffiti while sitting in Lambton yard for almost one month...it arrived at Hillcrest with two big drawings - one on the windshield, the other one on the back window - plus a couple of smaller tags on the bogie skirts.
  3. Car 4463 is back on property. It was unloaded at Hillcrest this morning (i.e. Monday, July 18, 2022). Car 4539 was used to tow it off railcar transporter XTTX 142012. To recap, car 4463 had been loaded up for transport to La Pocatiere, QC on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, for a total turnaround time of 69 days. Car 4463 has returned to Leslie under its own power this afternoon. 4462 should be the next car to return - it is now at CP's Lambton yard, loaded onto transporter ITTX 965335, awaiting re-delivery to Hillcrest.
  4. 4465 was the last car sent off for welding repairs. 4466 is here to stay.
  5. No it has not. 4460 is not back on TTC property yet. That is incorrect - car 4461 has been unloaded on Tuesday, June 28. I have been remiss in not reporting on the latest Flexity movements, although I have tracked them. Not much has happened since June 13 anyway. To sum it up: 1. Car 4459 has been unloaded on Monday June 13. Car 4402 was used to tow it off railcar transporter transporter JTTX 966016. To recap, car 4459 had been loaded for transport to La Pocatiere on March 31, 2022, for a total turnaround time of 74 days. Car 4459 left Hillcrest and returned to Leslie under its own power the next day, on June 14 in the afternoon. 2. Car 4461 has been unloaded on Tuesday June 28. Car 4533 was used to tow it off railcar transporter transporter XTTX 142476. To recap, car 4461 had been loaded for transport to La Pocatiere on April 19, 2022, for a total turnaround time of 70 days. There may have been some issues with 4461, as it did not return to Leslie under its own power - instead, it was towed back to Leslie by car 4444 the next morning, on June 29. 3. At this point, there are 197 streetcars on TTC property. Cars 4460, 4462, 4463, 4464 & 4465 have yet to return from retrofits. Cars 4471 & 4478 have been off-property since April 3, 2019 and January 23, 2019, respectively after they were taken out of commission during the flash-flood on August 7, 2018.
  6. Railcar transporter JTTX 604594 was picked up by CP and left Hillcrest empty on Saturday (i.e. June 11) morning. CP has delivered transporter JTTX 966016, carrying car 4459, to Hillcrest on Saturday. Car 4459 to be unloaded this week.
  7. You are correct in that car 4458 is back on property as of this morning (Tuesday, June 7, 2022). Car 4574 was used to tow car 4458 off railcar transporter JTTX 604594. To recap, car 4458 had been loaded up for transport to La Pocatiere, QC on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, for a total turnaround time of exactly 14 weeks or 98 days. Car 4458 is likely to return to Leslie tomorrow afternoon (June 8), based on past recent experience. You are incorrect about car 4466. Car 4466 is still on TTC property, being used as a training car today. No car was swapped at Hillcrest after 4458 had been unloaded this morning.
  8. 4465 was only picked up from Hillcrest on Saturday night, almost two weeks after it had been loaded up. It is now at Lambton yard, having been marshalled into a freight train, awaiting departure. Railcar transporter is XTTX 142489, if anyone wants to track its location. That's correct! Transporter JTTX 604594, carrying car 4458, was dropped off at the Hillcrest siding after XTTX 142489 had been picked up. Car 4458 to be unloaded this week. As of this evening, 4465 is still at Lambton yard - see above.
  9. That's a good point and I have been wondering about it, too. When 4401 left TTC property in May 2018, it was first sent to La Pocatiere (i.e. to the same location that the production cars were later sent for welding repairs). It took close to one year for the work in La Pocatiere to be completed before 4401 was sent from there straight to Thunder Bay for final completion to production car standards. The issue of the welding defects in the first 67 streetcars was first made public in early July 2018 (not October 2018), so less than two months after 4401 had been sent to La Pocatiere. Regardless, we will find out very soon if 4401 was included in the total of 67 cars requiring welding repairs (as it was made public in July 2018), considering the recent turnaround times that we've seen,
  10. That is correct! Car 4457 is back on property. It was unloaded at Hillcrest this morning (i.e. Tuesday, May 24, 2022). Car 4424 was used to tow it off railcar transporter XTTX 142489. To recap, car 4457 had been loaded up for transport to La Pocatiere, QC on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, for a total turnaround time of exactly 13 weeks or 91 days. Car 4457 is likely to return to Leslie tomorrow afternoon (May 25), based on past recent experience. That is incorrect - 4464 had left the property last week, after it was swapped last Tuesday with car 4452. Check back this thread - I have reported this last week. The car that is off-property as of this morning (May 24) is 4465. It headed to Hillcrest under its own power earlier in the morning, and after car 4457 had come off, car 4424 was used to load car 4465 onto the same transporter (XTTX 142489) for the trip to La Pocatiere, QC. The last day of service for car 4465 was Tuesday, May 17, 2022 on 503 Kingston Road. Therefore, if only the first 67 cars require retrofits, this only leaves one car (4466) that needs to be shipped off property.
  11. Railcar transporter XTTX 142012, carrying car 4464, has been picked up by CP from Hillcrest today (Saturday, May 21), and it is now at Lambton Yard. In turn, CP has delivered railcar transporter XTTX 142489, carrying car 4457 to Hillcrest this afternoon. Car 4457 to be unloaded next week.
  12. Car 4452 is back on property. It was unloaded at Hillcrest this morning (i.e. Tuesday, May 17, 2022). Car 4400 was used to tow it off railcar transporter XTTX 142012. To recap, car 4452 had been loaded up for transport to La Pocatiere, QC on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, for a total turnaround time of 125 days, one day short of 18 weeks. Car 4452 is likely to return to Leslie tomorrow afternoon (May 18), based on past recent experience. In turn, car 4464 is off-property as of this morning. It headed to Hillcrest under its own power earlier in the morning, and after car 4452 had come off, car 4400 was used to load car 4464 onto the same transporter (XTTX 142012) for the trip to La Pocatiere, QC. The last day of service for car 4464 was Saturday, May 7, 2022 on 501 Queen during daytime, and on 504 King in the evening,
  13. Can I ask what the basis for that assumption is? Please don't say it's because you're using nextbus-based applications such as Transsee or Pockettrack and you notice that 4457 is "tracking" at the loading dock at Hillcrest. I've already explained several times here why cars that are in transit or have otherwise had their GPS units turned off cannot be tracked using those methods. And in fact, you are wrong. Car 4452 (not 4457) is the next car to be offloaded, likely tomorrow (i.e. Tuesday) morning. Car 4457 is still at CP's Lambton Yard. I have been remiss in not reporting that railcar transporter XTTX 142012, carrying car 4452, has been delivered by CP to Hillcrest early Saturday morning - however, car 4452 has yet to be offloaded. Yes, indeed. I was checking my records...4452 was loaded up at Hillcrest back on January 12...it arrived back in Toronto after retrofits were completed on March 23...so the entire process took only ten weeks...and then it took approximately eight more weeks for it to get from Lambton Yard to Hillcrest. Thanks for letting us know. 4463 was picked up from Hillcrest early Saturday and should be on its way back to the plant for retrofits - railcar transporter is ITTX 965335 if anybody wants to track its location.
  14. Yes, that is correct! Car 4456 is back on property. It was unloaded at Hillcrest this morning (i.e. Tuesday, May 10, 2022). Car 4453 was used to tow it off railcar transporter ITTX 965335. To recap, car 4456 had been loaded up for transport to La Pocatiere, QC on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, for a total turnaround time of exactly 13 weeks, or 91 days. Car 4456 is still at Hillcrest at this time, and likely to return to Leslie tomorrow afternoon (May 11), based on past recent experience. In turn, car 4463 is off-property as of this morning. It headed to Hillcrest under its own power earlier in the morning, and after car 4456 had come off, car 4453 was used to load car 4463 onto the same transporter (ITTX 965335) for the trip to La Pocatiere, QC. The last day of service for car 4463 was Tuesday, April 26, 2022 on 503 Kingston Road.
  15. Transporter XTTX 142476, carrying car 4462, has been picked up from Hillcrest by CP yesterday. Of the three cars above, 4456 (transporter ITTX 965335) has been delivered to Hillcrest first. Car 4456 is now at the loading dock, to be unloaded next week. Transporters XTTX 142012 and XTTX 142489 (carrying cars 4452 and 4457, respectively) remain at CP's Lambton yard, awaiting re-delivery to Hillcrest.
  16. You must have used incorrect dates as input into that webpage... You can check back this thread...all of the gory details for every single Flexity move going back a few years have been posted here. The only update since my post on Tuesday of this week is that transporter XTTX 142489, carrying car 4457, arrived at Lambton Yard yesterday (May 4). There are now three TTC cars at Lambton awaiting re-delivery to Hillcrest: 4452, 4456 & 4457. Transporter XTTX 142476, carrying car 4462, has yet to be picked up from Hillcrest.
  17. I think you either have the dates mixed up or otherwise your calculations are incorrect. 4456 was loaded up at Hillcrest on February 8...4457 on February 22...4458 on March 1. At the time of your posting (May 1), that would translate to 82, 68 and 61 days off-property, respectively. Check back my previous posts in this thread when I reported all of these moves. Regardless, 4456 is already back in Toronto and has been sitting at Lambton Yard since last Friday, joining 4452 in the re-delivery queue. That is incorrect. 4451 first returned to service after re-delivery to the TTC on Good Friday, April 15. It was in full day service on 501 Queen that day. We will have to wait and see. CP first needs to move XTTX 142476 (with 4462 sitting on it) out of the way first. 4462 was loaded up on April 26, but it is still at the Hillcrest loading dock awaiting pick-up by CP.
  18. Actually, car 4449 had been loaded at Hillcrest on Dec 2 (not Dec 3), but otherwise you're correct - 4449 is back on property as of this morning, and 4462 has been sent off for retrofits. Car 4449 was unloaded at Hillcrest this morning (i.e. Tuesday, April 26, 2022). It has been sitting at the loading dock since Sunday. Car 4585 was used to tow it off railcar transporter XTTX 142476. To recap, car 4449 had been loaded up for transport to La Pocatiere, QC on Thursday, December 2, 2021, for a total turnaround time of 145 days. Car 4449 remains at Hillcrest for now, likely returning to Leslie tomorrow afternoon (April 27), based on past recent experience. In turn, car 4462 is off-property as of this morning. It headed to Hillcrest under its own power, and after car 4449 had come off, car 4585 was used to load 4462 onto the same transporter (XTTX 142476) for the trip to La Pocatiere, QC. The last day of service for car 4462 was Wednesday, April 20, 2022 on 511 Bathurst. Actually, 4452 arrived back in Toronto on March 23, so about one week after 4449. There were two occurrences in March when two cars had been shipped together and arrived back on the same train, but on different weeks, as follows: 4449 and 4451 arrived on March 16. 4452 and 4454 arrived on March 23. We'll have to wait and see. Cars 4456 & 4457 should be back before the end of May, based on recent turnaround times.
  19. The following movements have taken place on the weekend: Transporter JTTX 966016, carrying car 4461, has been picked up by CP from Hillcrest on Saturday (April 23). It is now at Lambton yard, awaiting departure for CPR Toronto Yard, than on to Montreal. Transporter XTTX 142476, carrying car 4449, has been dropped off by CP at the Hillcrest siding on Sunday (April 24). Notably, XTTX 142476 had sat in Lambton Yard for almost six weeks after arrival in Toronto before re-delivery to Hillcrest. Car 4449 to be unloaded this week, probably tomorrow.
  20. Yes, that is correct! Car 4455 is back on property. It was unloaded at Hillcrest this morning (i.e. Tuesday, April 19, 2022). It has been sitting at the loading dock since Sunday. Car 4558 was used to tow it off railcar transporter JTTX 966016. To recap, car 4455 had been loaded up for transport to La Pocatiere, QC on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, for a total turnaround time of exactly 11 weeks, or 77 days. Car 4455 is likely to return to Leslie tomorrow afternoon (April 20), based on past recent experience. In turn, car 4461 is off-property as of this morning. It headed to Hillcrest under its own power earlier in the morning, and after car 4455 had come off, car 4558 was used to load 4461 onto the same transporter (JTTX 966016) for the trip to La Pocatiere, QC. The last day of service for car 4461 was Sunday, April 10, 2022 on 505 Dundas.
  21. Car 4455 has yet to be unloaded and is definitely not tracking at Hillcrest. The GPS unit is turned off during transport, so it cannot be "tracked" using any of the nextbus-based web apps - certainly not in the way that all of the other cars physically located on TTC property and with their GPS units turned on can be. Yes, the last tracked location for car 4455 is being reported by nextbus as being Hillcrest loading dock, but that's because that was the last position reported more than two months ago, just as the car was being loaded up in preparation for taking it off-property and before the GPS unit was turned off. So the location as shown in nextbus is not "wrong", it is simply stale. The fact that the car is now physically there at the very same location is a mere coincidence. As a side note, nextbus also reports the locations of 4456, 4457, 4459 & 4460 at the Hillcrest loading dock as well - obviously, the cars are not there, the data is simply stale. Hard to say, both 4449 & 4452 have been at Lambton yard for quite a while - the former for more than one month - but they're being moved around the yard and sorted all the time, as part of different cuts of freight cars. It also depends on the schedule of the local switcher that delivers to Hillcrest, which does not run every night. In other news, transporter JTTX 604594, carrying car 4460 to Quebec, that was taken up by CP on Saturday, April 16, should be leaving Lambton yard tonight or tomorrow.
  22. Transporter JTTX 604594, carrying car 4460 to Quebec, was picked up by CP from Hillcrest on Saturday (April 16). In turn, of the three TTC cars waiting in queue at Lambton for re-delivery (4449, 4452 & 4455), the one that arrived last was re-delivered first - transporter JTTX 966016, carrying car 4455, has been delivered to the Hillcrest loading dock on Sunday (April 17). Car 4455 to be unloaded this week.
  23. That's correct! Car 4454 is back on property. It was unloaded at Hillcrest this morning (i.e. Tuesday, April 12, 2022). Car 4561 was used to tow it off railcar transporter JTTX 604594. To recap, car 4454 had been loaded up for transport to La Pocatiere, QC on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, for a total turnaround time of 83 days. Car 4454 has been towed by 4561 earlier this afternoon and is now at Leslie. In turn, car 4460 is off-property as of this morning. It headed to Hillcrest under its own power earlier in the morning, and after car 4454 had come off, car 4561 was used to load 4460 onto the same transporter (JTTX 604594) for the trip to La Pocatiere, QC. The last day of service for car 4460 was Tuesday, March 29, 2022 on 510 Spadina.
  24. Of the cars above, 4454 has won the coin toss and was delivered to Hillcrest today (Sunday, April 10). It is currently at the loading dock, to be unloaded this week.
  25. Little has happened since the update I've posted on March 31. CP has only picked up transporter TTBX 966024 (carrying car 4459) from Hillcrest early this morning (Saturday, April 9). It is now at Lambton Yard awaiting departure for Quebec. On the other hand, car 4455 is back from retrofits and it arrived at Lambton Yard onto transporter JTTX 966016, joining the other completed TTC cars that have been sitting in the yard for a while, There are now 4 TTC cars waiting in queue at Lambton for re-delivery to Hillcrest: 4449 (transporter XTTX 142476) 4452 (transporter XTTX 142012) 4454 (transporter JTTX 604594) 4455 (transporter JTTX 966016)
