  1. Universal has purchased G&W Coach Prevost H3-45 #808 and has renumbered it #898. G&W now has another H3-45 numbered #8168. Not much difference. Just White H3-45's. #808 now #898 G&W Coach Lines Prevost H3-45 #808-2 by Dannny29, on Flickr This is G&W's #8168. G&W Coach Prevost H3-45 #8168-1 by Dannny29, on Flickr
  2. National 2017 Prevost H3-45 #231 here in Vancouver. National picked up the APT contract for the season and so National is going to have 4 2018/2019 H3-45's down here. For now 231 and another are here until the new units arrive. I was sent pictures of the new buses leaving Quebec. National Motorcoach 2017 Prevost H3-45 #231-4 by Dannny29, on Flickr
  3. This. I find doing sched 4's annoying at times especially when short buses. It's amazing how fast a bus can do 7500 miles or 30 days fly by fast.
  4. Wilson's has taken delivery of 4 2018 Prevost H3-45's. Saw all 4 today still all white. 2 fleet numbers were 9956 and 10056. Drove one of them and still has the new bus smell. 5200 km's on the hubometer. 2 of them headed out today for a trip to Banff.
  5. They're old clapped out high mileage buses. Some parts are obsolete on them. Their drive trains can be rebuilt so many times before it just dies on it. Frame fatigue happens. Not worth rebuilding or investing a lot for an old bus. You have to realize Greyhound buses don't stop running. Unless of course if it is in for maintenance. But these dogs run day in day out, and the wear shows. It varies but you can expect 1 million and climbing.
  6. Talked to a US driver weeks back and he mentioned some of the lower 86XXX series Prevosts were going in for refurbishment. Curious to see how they come out of refurbishment. Also hoping the X3-45's in Toronto get some sort of refurbishment before they come out west if they do. Not really down to deal with rust on them. I already deal with the rust on the DL's now. Quite a bit of DL's are biting the dust right now.
  7. Yep thats is where the owner stores his buses. Havent seen it out in awhile. Last I saw it was at Capilano Bridge Park on tour.
  8. PJL #7004 at the yard today. Pacific Jet Link Setra S417 #7004-1 by Dannny29, on Flickr
  9. Pacific West Coach Lines may have gotten another Prevost H3-4. Spotted in the yard today. Pacific West Coach Lines Prevost H3-41-1 by Dannny29, on Flickr
  10. 5 of the 6 Prevost X3-45's have arrived into Vancouver and into service. 635-639. Last one is 634 which should be coming in from Edmonton soon. So far it's been a case of ironing out the kinks with these buses. Also a learning curve on the Prevost platform.
  11. 1 sold to a company legaled Harjinder J Gosal. Its wrapped.
  12. C tour Holidays Prevost H3-45 #268 running around town the other day. I've heard they used to be Seagull Holidays but had a bad rap and switched names. Ctour Prevost H3-45 #268-1 by Dannny29, on Flickr
  13. All 3 have been doing Pemberton runs once they arrive here. They still need drive cams and other stuff but they really wanted them to get into service right away. They do in service runs from Edmonton to Vancouver once they get the everything installed in Edmonton. 636 Came in from Kamloops Monday Afternoon around 4 then went right onto the Pemberton run. 635 blew a coolant hose in Kamloops last week but made it in Monday as well. Man when I got one of them on the wash pad I immediately opened all compartments, panels over the wheel, and engine compartments and went through and sprayed out all the dirt. So far the worst was 635. Just caked in orange in everything you can imagine. They reak of crude too
  14. I'm not the one who decides what seats to use. If people really did not like what seats are currently used, then they should give enough input to Greyhound in regards to the comfort of the seats. But wouldn't people just want to get to where they want to be? As long as a bus shows up and takes them to their destination, what do they care about a seat? It's not a different seat model, it is literally the same seat models as used on the American Hounds like I have mentioned before on the previous page. Completely lost on your last part of the post.
  15. You can't please everybody. Anyways...... 636 and 635 have showed up today. Serviced both and gave a good cleaning of the dirt and grime in the engine bay and such. Also did a once over of adjustments. Both buses including 639 have Volvo D13s and are 46 seaters. The 6 in total will be dedicated to the Whistler/ Pemberton runs. 5 on 1 spare. The rest of the 28 X3-45's will be heading East. So we may see the hitch equipped X3-45's from out east come out west. Which may mean some MCI's will be retired. Again, we will see how things go. Anything can change. Greyhound Prevost X3-45 #635-2 by Dannny29, on Flickr Greyhound Prevost X3-45 #636-1 by Dannny29, on Flickr
  16. They're just a seat to me. I take it out and put replacements in when it is needed.
  17. Yes they do have the same seats. I don't see what is so uncomfortable about them.
  18. Tonight was an absolute gong show but Prevost X3-45 #639 has arrived tonight. Serviced it and took it for a spin in the yard. They are keeping their numbers from when they were in Fort Mac. They are in system as they are. No lifts in this one. 635 should be in tomorrow. Vancouver is getting 6 from what I have been told. 639 has a Volvo D13 and Allison transmission. 19. 6343 is here in Vancouver but it's been parked for awhile. Have not heard it's been for sale. It's status is "storage." And have been told not to take parts off of it. 6052 I think is here too. May be one of the ones I put a tarp on. That bus is still waiting on insurance to work itself out from what I've been told.
  20. Couple weeks ago MCI 102-DL3 #6045 was sold to Tofino Bus. Bus hit a moose years back and sat in the yard for 2 years. Starts and runs, just needed a new face. Got towed out. Accident buses from the Coquihalla incident are also back in the yard. 6050 has minor damage. Needs a new Windshield, Fence, and some cosmetic work on the front. 6064 isn't too bad but the front end is pretty crunched. 1266 which was in the ditch is the worst of them all. tag wheels are bent to one side, rear roof is crunched, damage all around. Will see what happens. Could take a while for the investigation and insurance to work itself out. And no I will not post or show pictures of the buses.
  21. Didn't know Universal had an X3-45. Saw it yesterday at Prevost in Richmond. Numbered 917. Legals say Airdrie. Also note H3-41 #307 has been legalled up for Airdrie. Saw it last night in the yard. Universal Coach Lines Prevost X3-45 #917-1 by Dannny29, on Flickr
  22. X3-45s. They probably will be west coast but have not heard anything. Trailer hitches, high chance but won't know until I see them myself. Haven't heard if they will get wheelchair lifts either. We still have several lift equipped buses. Also take into account the D4505s up north that have lifts too. Not sure where those will end up once the cuts come into effect later.
  23. I was told 34 in total. Ex First Canada that ran up in the Oil Patches. I was given a booklet of photos of one of the units yesterday. Can really see the dirt and grime on the buses from running up in the oil sands. 3 are in Edmonton right now and one should be down in Vancouver in the next 2 weeks. 21 I think have Series 60's and rest have D13's. Interior wise they have similiar seats to the American X3-45's. Will be kept white from what I'm hearing for the time being. Have not heard if they are replacing any MCI's with them or whatever. Don't ask about it because your guess is as good as mine. Drivers will be getting training on them of course. Can't wait to see them and work on D13's.
  24. Canview Coach Lines picked up 2 H3-45's ex ERYE Bus Lines. Canview Coach Lines Prevost H3-45 #909-1 by Dannny29, on Flickr Canview Prevost H3-45 #908-1 by Dannny29, on Flickr Canview Prevost H3-45 #908-2 by Dannny29, on Flickr
  25. Was told its 6064 in between the semis and 1266 in the ditch. Update: 6050 was caught too and a Traxx Van hool.
