I may be taking a liberty, but I will include my HSR photo in the GTA section. The exact date I don't have but I was visiting a pal at McMaster January 1998. -

Not sure the year on this one, I think it was 1979. I'm not sure the year on this, I think it was 1979. -
It happened to me just now.

Just curious, does anybody know or knew Mr. Holt? Is he still active in this hobby? His photos are amazing snippits of history. Much like that other great photographer Roberta Hill. I have no idea if she was just a freelance photographer or was employed by different transit agencies but her photos are a real treat. A few shots I took between 2000-2002.

It was Woodlawn and Yonge. The bus is heading South to Summerhill. It was a subway shuttle.

And I notice 8521 has an ad for Liar Liar on the side which was released in March 1997, so I have snapped that in September 1997.

From a slide I bought at a train show some years back. The slide was dated June 1975. An unidentified incident aboard a PCC car, July 1981. -

CBC News anchor Henry Champ has died.

Some Ted Wickson slides I bought and posted on Flickr were reused by that Denardo fellow on a fb page. That guy has no shame lol.

http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/transportation/article/1240435--ttc-contracts-out-intercity-coach-terminal I'm sure this has been mulled over before, but in retrospect was it a good idea for the TTC to divest itself or Gray Coach lines? Did it ever run at a profit? would it be sold off today?

I never caught the fleet number, but I spotted a 7 Loyalist bus with a brand new bike rack.

I have noticed something I never really paid attention to when observing signal sheds along the CN line. Some appear to have air conditioning units on the roofs. I would assume this is to cool important electronic equipment, or is there another reason?

Ray Bradbury has died.

Just a question, I assume they can't but it's been awhile since I've been on one. When the front door is open on a CLRV, can the vehicle ,or does the door have to be completely shut before the cars can take off? (unlike the front doors of a bus).

Thanks for the info. As a side note I always imagined The Maze Mall was probably a much more active and profitable mall once upon a time. The decor of that place (still very 1970's chic) suggets a lot of investment went into that place in the beginning.

Makes sense, thank you.

I bought this photo on Ebay last summer. It's from July 1977. No I know that prior to the Belleville Bus Terminal was opened buses met at the 4 corners downtown for transfer. This photo would seem to suggest however that at one point the transfer point was a block north right across from the maze mall. Was this the case?

This photo was on the Vintage Toronto FB page. Would anyone have any idea what the notice in the window would be for? Sorry, the photo didn't post. What is the notice in the window here, any ideas?
