I'm sitting in this mess as we speak. 12013, last bus in line. As I was heading towards UBC I was wondering why I didn't see a single 49 going EB nor any buses behind. Sure enough I ended up behind the pile. If T-Comm had sent out a text to warn then I could've detoured and avoided this mess.

I had the chance to drive in the bus lanes on Scott rd between 84 Ave and Scottsdale while doing the 301 on Boxing Day, here are my thoughts... The bus lane is rather narrow; they basically widened the road at several points and then squeezed a third lane in each direction, resulting in the lanes being more narrow. I was swiping tree branches with the double-decker bus in the bus lane. With that, the bus lane is only effective if the traffic in the left lane(s) is positioned in their lanes correctly and not drifting into the right lane. There's potential for buses to make contact with fixed objects and lose their side mirrors. The speed limit is 60km/h; with narrow lanes, lots of fixed objects, and lights, I would not dare go that fast in the bus lane unless there is no traffic in the left lane, little pedestrian traffic, and I'm sure of the timing of the lights. Otherwise, maybe 50km/h on a good day.

2023-2025 Standard 40' CNG Bus Procurement (Nova Bus LFS CNG)
Phillip replied to Express691's topic in Metro Vancouver
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm pretty sure those CNG's will be Nova's. I remember reading a bulletin earlier this year that we are expecting 134 Nova CNGs in 2024. -
My second piece is local work so I stand a chance of getting it

2020 (-2023) Articulated 60' Bus Procurement
Phillip replied to Express691's topic in Metro Vancouver
Looking at the January paddles, there are seven R1 blocks out of PCT on weekdays. Also, the R6 is launching in January, it's HTC work.
