  1. 21022 is the first artic on the 25. I'm only reporting this because I have an early start today and I was up early enough to see it
  2. The stop assignment change is because of concerns about space restrictions of the double decker buses using bay 4.
  3. PR- Public Relations. Tomorrow is the Lunar New Year Parade and the Translink bus will be in the parade, that's an example of a PR event.
  4. Yeah I watched the live view, only now it got his attention. I know exactly what you mean
  5. Also, I find it striking that Translink CEO Kevin Quinn has been quiet. I haven't heard or seen anything from him in the media regarding the strike.
  6. It's the media, they are usually inaccurate, and often it takes just one word to change a whole story. It's like telling someone a story and then passing it around a group, by the time it goes around the circle it's a different story.
  7. I'm sitting in this mess as we speak. 12013, last bus in line. As I was heading towards UBC I was wondering why I didn't see a single 49 going EB nor any buses behind. Sure enough I ended up behind the pile. If T-Comm had sent out a text to warn then I could've detoured and avoided this mess.
  8. Starting January 8th, construction for the new electric bus charging station at 22nd station is starting. Bay 1 will be closed. Also, starting January 8th, the Hwy 17A overpass at Hwy 99 will be closed SB on weekdays between 7pm and 5am. The 640 will be rerouting SB via E 60 Ave, S 64 st/Burns Rd, E Burns Dr Diversion, S 72 St overpass, W Ladner Trunk Rd to Ladner Exchange.
  9. I saw in the Richmond depot that 6 artics are going out for Specials between 23:30 and 05:30 on New Year's Eve.
  10. I had the chance to drive in the bus lanes on Scott rd between 84 Ave and Scottsdale while doing the 301 on Boxing Day, here are my thoughts... The bus lane is rather narrow; they basically widened the road at several points and then squeezed a third lane in each direction, resulting in the lanes being more narrow. I was swiping tree branches with the double-decker bus in the bus lane. With that, the bus lane is only effective if the traffic in the left lane(s) is positioned in their lanes correctly and not drifting into the right lane. There's potential for buses to make contact with fixed objects and lose their side mirrors. The speed limit is 60km/h; with narrow lanes, lots of fixed objects, and lights, I would not dare go that fast in the bus lane unless there is no traffic in the left lane, little pedestrian traffic, and I'm sure of the timing of the lights. Otherwise, maybe 50km/h on a good day.
  11. Everything was on a Sunday schedule today. I was on a 301 today and we were bunched and delayed.
  12. Powered centre axle? The greatest thing since sliced bread
  13. Yes, and the LFR's in Surrey and PoCo are getting them too.
  14. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm pretty sure those CNG's will be Nova's. I remember reading a bulletin earlier this year that we are expecting 134 Nova CNGs in 2024.
  15. My second piece is local work so I stand a chance of getting it
  16. 9543 is now decorated, I spotted it at RTC tonight.
  17. Looking at the January paddles, there are seven R1 blocks out of PCT on weekdays. Also, the R6 is launching in January, it's HTC work.
