Unfortunately the new bus smell disappears after a few months, and we have had the buses for testing/training for a few months now.

2102, 2103, and 2104 are in service this evening! Happy hunting! 2101 will not be in service UFN as it still has weights onboard for testing.

So, I have to say, the bus is EERILY quiet with all of the fans/blowers off!

If I get one tomorrow, it will be warm enough that I will likely have the heaters off tomorrow, for most of the day at least. Supposed to be doing the 16 and 81 so fingers crossed that I get it. Only 2103 is available for service right now.

That would be because the basic specs of this bus were followed from the last order we received from New Flyer. Hence the reasoning for Luminator Horizon signs also.

2102 and 2104 were plugged in at the back of lane 22 when I finished my shift. 2101 (weight simulation test) bus was parked at the front of 24. 2103 was not seen.

This thread will not be moved to the Non-Transit area of the Ottawa section. Unlike other things in that section, this, in a way, is transit related and is placed appropriately. Thank you for your opinion on the matter, however, my decision is final.

When 6351-6398 were brand new, they were equipped with the touch bars rather than push bars. People get VERY aggressive with them, especially when the doors have a slower response. I can see the doors or at least, the bars, getting damaged very frequently because of this.

6481 has been decommissioned and will not return to service. The bus is being used for parts to repair other D60LFRs. The front door area of the bus has been removed to repair new collision damage to 6554 (unrelated to the collision repaired by Frankensteining it with 6677s front end).

I can confirm, it is 2102. 2103 was spotted this afternoon on a flatbed at an OnRoute along the 401.

As of right now, I can only confirm ONE unit has been pre-delivered to CityView for PDI and preparation work, on behalf of New Flyer, due to the proximity to OC versus the Arnprior facility. Once delivered to OC, the buses will be under control of the training department on both the operational and maintenance side. I do not see them seeing service until at least November at the earliest (pure speculation). I am booked on some runs to be assigned these buses this booking, so, I will know more eventually.
