  1. In reading their website, it would appear as it makes local stops in the less populous areas along that corridor, including a stop at the hilariously misspelled "CABOURG". They also need to put in the stop locations so that people won't get confused trying to find where the bus is.
  2. You're referring to the Rural Partner route 515 that was taken over by 417 Bus Lines after they bought Delaney. As far as I know, those runs will be reinstated once the pandemic ends (if it ever ends). Here's the bus they normally used on it, bus 32-97 leaving Place du Portage on the afternoon commuter trip.
  3. They would have to. I also wonder if they'll do seven days a week on that corridor as it's a very busy corridor. I could also see them taking over Hamilton-Guelph and Hamilton-Kitchener as Coach Canada has cut both corridors.
  4. They'll need more buses for that service since they only have two units in Ontario at the moment.
  5. So to sum up: Instead of reinstating service beyond the current skeleton frequency levels, they somehow have enough in the budget for a pilot project revolving around security checks? They're not an airline. Message to VIA: This is NOT the thing you should be focusing on. Reinstating regular service levels back to before the pandemic SHOULD BE what you should focus on.
  6. Ummmm.....that was an article from 2016.
  7. They're TS 45 buses numbered 19 and 20.
  8. It means the end of fixed route transit service in Fort Erie. I think TOK will keep the ElDorados for other contracts.

It will begin with a soft launch on April 19, 2021. On June 14, service will switch to OnDemand for the remainder of the pilot, combining phases 1 and 2 of the original plan and moving fully to OnDemand. This will replace conventional routes 1 and 2 but will apparently use conventional buses once fully rolled out.
  10. Watch it be a ProMaster being taken off OnDemand.
  11. Which is what happens when you have only 17 routes to serve a region that spans six municipalities. That's right. I'm not going to let them forget their misguided decision to cut 40 routes.

I'll put that on the Wiki. Would you happen to know what they'd be numbered by chance?
  13. Hopefully everybody on the bus was okay. That's the main thing. Now onto the tone of your post. I had to revert the changes you made prior after getting confirmation from my HSR contact about the 0700s and 0600 hybrids, which you erroneously listed as retired. You also listed 932 as retired on February 12, 2020, which is a typo I have since corrected. Your attitude in the above post (particularly the beginning) is very defensive and I'd recommend changing it and double-checking your sources prior to posting.
  14. Methinks somebody in DRT management has ties with the taxi company running the OnDemand. They clearly don't want to reinstate the routes they cut.
  15. Imagine testing the BYD at ALL terminals before rushing them into service. Crazy concept I know.
  16. Well there's ONE benefit to cutting 40/57 routes I guess.
  17. Was it sold off or is it still part of Galland's roster? It doesn't make much sense to retire a three year old bus unless something catastrophic happened to it.
  18. I wonder how long it'll be staying there. I'm hoping one of the Calgary people could provide more information on this.
  19. Is 7176 retired now? That would be very perplexing as it's a 2017 unit. Or could it have been transferred to the parking shuttle or L'Inter service?
  20. That would be nice to see. Maybe they can also invest in some SuperLiner coaches for the Canadian or Ocean.
  21. Lowering the fares and making an effort to increase the frequency would be a good start. The Canadian is an essential pillar. Mind you VIA's insistence on raising fares to that of an airline was a giant misstep.

Well it was good that I got 6107 a couple weeks ago.
  23. Huh. So they executed a plan that was not thought out and expected there not to be backlash? Hmmmm....it's almost like this was doomed from the start. Oh and what's this I hear about Durham Region using taxis and, in some cases SOMEONE'S PERSONAL VEHICLE for this OnDemand disaster!?
  24. What's going to happen to the fleet? Will it be retained past the switchover or will they be given entirely new buses?
  25. Considering how much backlash there is, it's safe to assume that this is already a flop, even before it's been implemented. This is just service cuts disguised as a "service recovery strategy". Nobody asked for this, nobody wanted this and it will be an INSTANT failure, then the Region may be forced to backpedal on it.
