  1. At least they've been busy rebuilding the classics. I'm starting to notice more classics are rebuilt, aside that OC Transpo has already begun retiring them. Point55.
  2. 106 NEW New Route 105 will replace a portion of route 85 from Hurdman to Elmvale. Route 106 will follow the same routing as the 85 along Smyth Road via the hospital complex. Route 106 will operate the same hours as route 85 and at a similar or greater frequency. On weekdays in the morning peak period, trips from Hurdman to the hospitals will operate every 7 or 8 minutes, and at the same frequency in the afternoon peak period from the hospitals to Hurdman. The frequency between the hospitals and Elmvale will vary from 15 to 30 minutes. Route 105 already exists... they must've meant to put 106. I noticed OC Transpo copied and paste a lot of things. I'm not sure where, but somewhere on the site, for the new changes to the 261 route map it'll link you to the 135 route map. Unless someone not smart enough to notice that typo, (more like non-transit fans) then they would probably get confused, or not even notice it. The pamphlets for the Fall Changes aren't out to the public yet, but I doubt most of the commuters, will go to the web site. Let's see what happens when they find out 84 is gone (just replaced with new 98) I'll look around the site, see what else is a typo, and that link that redirects you to some other thing. Point55.
  3. I remember one driver who was so shocked to hear such thing as 'Transit Enthusiast' and thought it was nice that OC Transpo had fans. He said something like that was needed. Point55.
  4. perhaps the removal for this thread is better off..... im kinda a noobie. Point55.
  5. Ohh, I thought he was making fun of me. :l Point55.... *nice going pointfivefive*
  6. That just makes things look like Longueuil hating on photography; perhaps RTL will be sorry one day for kicking away all their tourists that come just to photograph! (never been, near Montreal I assume?) Point55. I started out photographing buses with a cell phone (Everyone has their way's of starting out to photograph something transit-related), and then I got to own my first camera that was ment only for photography transit. I don't think it was necessary to have mentioned it was "f***ing stupid". EDIT: Never mind. Ignore me mentioning anything about cell phones. Point55......
  7. 2 DAMN itchy shutter fingers. LOL. Does this mean, even if we use a cell phone camera, or the iPhone we can get into big trouble if we took a picture of any part of a RTL bus in public space, even though this kinda seems BS to me that RTL makes such rule? Point55.
  8. <<<<<< Now, you have my support. oh and if you look down, you also have my support (my signature, first time putting an image there). Point55.
  9. SOMEONE LINK ME TO RTL PICTURES I WANNA RTL AVATAR, SIGNATURES AND well, help the cause. Do you think this can happen with STO, OC Transpo, TTC aswell? (Just wondering the possibilites) Point55.
  10. Do you see the typo? (This is still available on the http://www.octranspo.com site. Point55.
  11. I was in Toronto. What I remember. Loud explosion, caboom, was about to go outside, but had a hard time getting out of my apartment building, uhmm, Streetcars dead in the middle of the road, looked like new york with the big crowd of people EVERYWHERE. Their was hardly any food to eat Point55.
  12. As of Augeast 15or16i think 14 2008 Uhmm Road repair at St.Laurent Tunnel, Train, Bridge after hurdman going into lees, campus stetch coming up (notice the grind machine parked outside Lees) I heard that the construction will continue/start on the weekends. Point55.
  13. Bald, white guy. I know OF him. He let me and the other gang take as many pictures, while posing the bus for us. They didn't turn out that bad, except for the fact the rear doors don't open for me. Point55.
  14. I know, it is also available on the buses. Point55.
  15. 106 is going to be like 101/102 from what i'm hearing. You know how the 101/102 timetables are set up? 106 may be like it too. I am not guaranteed it will be, so we'll see when it gets released to the public. Point55. By the way Tom (If I can call you that), the 99 still exists, as a ghost however. Go to Blair station, Presence of it's existence is still around. I will post a picture up later to show what I mean. For now, good luck hunting for this mystery. And Wright, DO NOT GIVE IT AWAY. I know you found it, and perhaps Double T, so let's have the Transit Enthusiast have their fun. I'm quite serious about what I said of the 99. It may shock you when you 'find' this existence. I got creeped out a bit. (Don't make fun! )
  16. We're still meeting at the upper level on St.Laurent at the old 123, 124, 126, 128 stop correct? Point55.
  17. Very nice picture. If you ride it, ask the driver to pose it for you for photographing. Drivers are sure as nice as OC Transpo drivers. (Except the photographing part, pinecrest drivers are nicer at that part) Point55.
  18. Wellington/Rideau, but I rode mine as a 77Ottawa at Les Promenades. The engine is weird, when you ride it along Gréber. Depends on runs. Not all routes cross onto Ontario eh? Point55. 19. Really? Let me try this out, since I have nothing better to do. edit: Future Shop is the #1 leading <something> brand <something> store. Q: How old are you? A: Let me assure you, I'm in my prime. Point55.
  20. coutesy of http://www.octranspo.com. New Fareboxes -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You may have already come across a new type of farebox that has been installed on some buses. The new farebox has two separate fare slots: one for coins, one for tickets and paper bills. You can help us avoid jams in the farebox by depositing your fare in the correct slot as shown above. Gradually you will see more of these new fareboxes as the old models, which are no longer available, are replaced. Important points to remember: Coins only go in the coin slot. Tickets must not be placed in the same slot as coins, and must be inserted into the middle of the ticket slot. Paper bills, e.g. $5, and tickets must not be folded when fed into the ticket/bill slot. Red DayPass vouchers and O-Train tickets must be placed in the same slot as tickets and bills. Transfers must not be deposited in the farebox. By following these points, you will help speed up boarding and reduce delays to the service. Point55.
  21. Sorry for double posting, just wanted to add something to the list: "Juggle" Aaron will juggle oranges "Best Buy" Aaron lets you check them out and waits for you until you get back. (Nice to see that this thread is in Red Flag Deals too) Point55.
  22. I'm not HurdmanSmart, but I still have a question that bugs me. Q: If you board on a Express or Rural Express route during AM rush, can you use standard fare remuneration at Hurdman itself? And can this apply with PM Rush too? Hey! You know how long it took me to find the 84 Greenboro/South Keys stop?!? (I had to walk around the station for about 5 minutes until I found it. ) Point55.
  23. "Hi Aaron" would work. He'd start saying hi and welcome you. I like his dancing, very cool. Also "PSP" works too. He starts playing a game. Point55.
