The reason for seeing random panels on nova’s painted or replaced can be due to collisions or worn panel replacement. What your seeing on the D60LFR’s is a minor refurb panel replacement to avoid corrosion.

To start the 2010-2012 Nova’s have decals and aren’t painted. 8102 along with a few others had darker decals for whatever reason when they were first done. A great reference for this would be Kevinsbusrail.com or Busdrawlings.com these sites have photo’s of the Nova’s when the first arrived and show the inconsistencies of the early decals, such as 8102 never having its doors done.

All three examples you have given could be the reason, I’m not privy to the exact reason they are last minute. In my observation it’s a last minute finish of materials by several planners finishing their work for the signup and it is just a late add.

Negative the blue line and redline shuttles are both artics only two 40ft buses on the sunalta shuttle which are out of Vp. There is 1 xd40 on the blue line as a change off from spring
