It's easier to turn a train at Oakville than Burlington without blocking tracks.

I was on one of the new ones a few weeks ago, 4606 or 4605 iirc. The only differences I noticed were the seat moquette was different being the standard red as seen on the busses(although it seems it's being retrofitted on more streetcars) and the sound for the stop request and where it lights up on the next stop board is also different.

No, it goes back the way it came along the Guelph Sub. The reasoning why it's not a service is up to MX.

CP uses the Galt Sub. CN only has one train or so a day along the Guelph Sub past Kitchener with most CN Trains using the Dundas Sub instead

My mom was a regular 501 user along with Lines 2&3 back in the day and she said that the driver would often leave everyone on the streetcar to go get coffee or use the bathroom or just short turn at Kingston Road/Queen or Woodbine.

In all honesty, I find this comical. Almost all DRT busses that go from either DC campus go to Whitby GO Station, with the remaining going to either McCowan RT Station, Oshawa Centre or Lakeview Park. The only bus that goes from Oshawa GO to either DC campus is the 56 GO Bus. There is no direct DRT bus to either DC Campus from Oshawa GO. There is a DC campus in Whitby that isn't overly far away from Oshawa GO but because of the 401, it's a 45min walk and there are no sidewalks.

I think I saw one last week at the back of Mount Dennis Garage by the Weston Sub along with other busses that looked to be retired as well.
